Wrong. It is a sandstone cap rock with softer shale underneath it. Axes don’t turn into sandstone. Shale isn’t a stump. The funny thing is that you can find real petrified wood in the badlands of New Mexico. This hoodoo is not petrified anything

It's extremely difficult to get a sense of scale from pictures alone but from the vids I've seen so far it appears as though you could thump it like a nerds ear sitting in front of you in math class and knock it completely down, that easily.. It looks flimsy as fuck and I'm kinda flabbergasted that it's even standing at this point still.. You know some jackass is going to have to go sit at the end of it like a diving board for a selfie and it'll break off and then hundreds of thousands of years worth of water erosion forming a spectacular natural formation will be gone in an instant of douchebaggery
