Owner ship experience is just that... the whole experience! These stealer ships think they are siting on a gold mine. Wait till your dying market disappears like your brand then you will e begging folks to come to your steaalership. Yes.. there are some good ones out there but it is slim pickings.

High pressure or salesman swarming is the biggest turn off. If I’m going to buy a street glide or road glide that’s what I go for. Don’t need salesman pressure. Last time I was in dealership they asked how I was doing, so I started to tell them….the salesman told me, “Never mind that, do you want a new bike or not!” I walked out and started going to a different dealership.

My local dealership pulled the hang tags a few years ago. All the pricing knowledge is with the salesman that can manipulate the price to fit a monthly payment. HD is not looking to the future, is in financial turmoil, and dealers have tons of unsold bikes on the floor. They are in big trouble.

Our bike dealerships are all really bad for marking up far too much. The Harley dealership just got bought by a local auto group and they're not gonna like me much when i go in there. The wife works for said auto group and I get everything at cost plus 200 so they're not gonna make anything off my purchase if i choose to go there.

You are 100% correct when you say that Harley Davidson should come down on their price tag , and make the bike with more quality . They need to improve the quality of the Harley bike , and start lowering the extreme prices . Let's get real.

Especially , when they charge thousands of dollars more , just because it's a different color than the regular black Harley.

If they would be more reasonable with the Harley prices , more people would be able to buy a bike . Prices are totally out of control . Makes me feel like I'm getting ripped off .

What if you have that investor. And are ready to spend the allowance in Nashville. How would you spend it?
@TheSteveFreeman
@TheSteveFreeman 7 күн бұрын
@@mrgreenwise I wouldn’t spend it in nashville. Maybe to make a solid record, but I’d use 90% of the investors money to hire a band, get a van, hire someone who doesn’t take no for an answer and have them call every club, venue, bar and live music venue in a 400 mile radius and start playing live as much as you can. Labels only jump on trains that are already moving. Get your train moving. Nashville doesn’t do artist development, use the money to get out there on your own and get in front of potential fans, build a fanbase and start stacking the cards in your favor

I agree with like 90 percent of this video. It is real solid advice, but for the monitors you should go for the Kali lp6 v2. Those are also 300 a pair, and they outdo the yamaha's by a mile. The low end is phenomenal for 6.5 inch speakers, and they are super flat. At the time this video was made the lp6 v1 was out, and I can understand why you chose for the yamaha's, but the lp6 v2 are just on another level. Keep up the great work man, love the vids.

Many MANY of the motovloggers baffle me. Names? Sure. FastLaneD, imKay, who's that guy that parades his girlfriend around in a bikini? 🤣 Let's face it - these channels are nothing more than a flex. (full disclosure; FastLaneD seems like a genuinely good guy) I'm alway a bit curious where the money comes from to afford all these bikes. (Says the guy with two H-D products and a Ducati). I guess I'm a little more low-key or under the radar than many - most- of these channels. Besides, who's got time to ride their motorcycle around all day and make content? I've got a f'n job. 😆

@@TheSteveFreeman What's a far bigger concern to me with regards to your topic is the young people that follow these channels and lionize the absolutely STUPID riding behaviors. Last week, I caught a response by a 16 year old kid in a Max Wrist post proclaiming 'you inspired me to get my MC endorsement' or some such nonsense. And we won't *even* mention Gixxer Brah. 😄... BTW, I'm happy to hear my assessment of D was accurate.

@@Dilemma1962 I couldn't agree with you more! I do think we have a responsibility to set an example. A lot of content creators are really good at showcasing to the world why so many people, at worst, hate bikers and at best, have a dissaproving opinion. The sportbike guys/girls most often showcase exactly what not to do and how not to behave, I guess its a part of their culture

That’s why in Europe nakeds are more popular. Eg Streetfighter over a Pani. Similar performance but ergonomics are 100 times better. Long rides/light touring, no problem. Other than the fuel range 😂 but again in Europe there’s fuel stops every couple of kilometres.

Please bare with me and try this a easy fix for the standard windshield flexing is simply to take a DVD case and push it between the two screen arm mounts, bending slightly in the middle as you fit it,believe me it works. This fixes the torsional movement and helps a little with the top set Ton bending towards the rider simple.

I’m 51 and narrowing it down between the V4, S1000RR and R1’. Looks wises Ducati hands down. The complaints about heat have me spooked though. The S1000RR has the creature comforts and longer warranty but the lack of a lower faring makes it look like a semi naked bike. R1 is beautiful as well.. if it came in Red it would prolly pull me in but I hear it runs hot as well. SMH.

I found a lot of times that the sales people know less about the motorcycles than I do when I walk in there yet they still try to sell you up on them and trying to act like they actually know what they’re talking about when they clearly don’t. Dealerships all play the same games, some of them are less than others, but you can always expect to be taken advantage of and bamboozled. When I went to get my Harley, I went in to get the 2023 Nightster I ended up leaving with 2018 XL 1200 48. It’s a nice bike, but it is not what I want and they sold me on it. I have been really pissed off ever since and I cannot take it back. I tried the next day and they just told me no can do. I really hate dealerships and the bullshit they put you through.

I'm in Townsville, Australia. I got no idea what kind of prices my local dealer does. It don't matter to me, they got nothing new I want. What they ought to be good for is spares but they've been totally useless for that so far in the 12 years I've had my Sportster. If I need to order OEM parts I usually get them from Bunbury HD in West Australia - on the other side of the continent. If there is still such a thing as the HD lifestyle/community out there I wouldn't know about it, I'm an anti-social bugger. If you did want to get into that though, what do you need a new bike for? Bugger the dealers and go buy a good used bike. Hell, if you want an XL Sportster ( which was the best bike HD ever did IMO ), then you have to buy used as there ain't no new ones.

I found your video to see if anybody else was having these electrical issues and it pains me to share your frustration with the Pan AM. I don't think I can state my opinions any better than this video. My issues have mostly been resolved with software patches performed by my local HD dealer, so when I started my bike a couple months ago and the screen did not come on, I just figured another software patch. NOPE! Are you sitting down? Eleven days past my warrantee and it almost cost me Four Grand! The whole charging unit was blown out and it needed to be replaced and that's what it was going to cost me - $4000. Fortunately, the good folks at Smoky Mountain HD worked on my behalf to have this covered via goodwill with the Harley corporate office. But given all these electrical issues with the Pan AM I have to wonder why there hasn't been some kind of recall.
