I have a 4 cycle weedeater that pushes oil from crank case into carb. The engine runs great. Is there a pvc valve in the engine? If so where is it? When I remover the air cleaner and pulled on the start rope oil was being pushed out of the crank case vent hose. Is there a fix for this? Also gas is coming out the gas cap.

Haven't seen that before, but if it's pushing oil out of the bottom end it sounds like compression is getting where it should not

On a vehicle you can't leave the brake resivoir cap off or you will get air. Are four wheelers different? I noticed you left the cover off.
@1beastlydudefixbreakrepeat28 күн бұрын
You can leave it off, just have to be delicate not to allow the fluid level to get low and allow air in

What kind or weight of farm implement h oil did you use? Tractor Supply? Any help to get the right lil thicker or higher viscosity oil appreciated, sir. Newbie here. Excellent vid, good audio and video quality, clear and straightforward review and overview. Well done.

I used tractor hydraulic, it's a grade of its own, though similar to aw32 with different base oil

This worked last time but today I'll try it again. I checked the belt & it looks fine. I've been told it's really hard to replace the belt! I hope it works for me today, it's getting hot out there! Thanks for this easy fix hope it works again.

Now I am confused. Just got a used Wheeler doing a oil change. I took the oil filter out but it looks nothing like the one you took out??!!! It's not a filter one. It didn't come with a manual. First time owning a four-wheeler and learning how to maintain it myself. Please be nice.

Have you considered vapor lock as an issue concerning the Honda quad thats running poorly but gets worse and worse the warmer it gets? Vapor lock doesnt happen often on newer stuff cuz, duh...(no carburetors, and electric fuel pumps with improved fuel line design & routing, is usually enough to keep gas from getting so hot its literally "vaporizing" before it is able to be atomized and used in the engine).... I don't know anything about that machine, that Honda I mean, and if I'm totally wrong or in left field, i apologize. Either way, i was just throwing the thought out there solely off of your brief statement about how it has been running. I personally have a big soft spot for almost anything honda. Especially motorcycles and vehicles with smaller displacement 2 & 4 stroke engines...4 wheelers and trikes are fun...but i love a well maintained Sea-Doo on a hot summer day too Lmao
@1beastlydudefixbreakrepeat3 ай бұрын
It ended up being the ignition coil, was loosing spark when hot. It does live right over the cylinderhead

Depends on the company. Most of the competition in my area pay well. I know crown starts at 25 hr. Most will depend on experience or training. If your a road tech it's good money

Very helpful, thanks! I'm cleaning up a long neglected and completely clogged up Predator carb. Jet and damper took some scrubbing. Then found the intake to the fuel shutoff valve was filled with some hard waxy substance that was hard to access past the elbow, and I was about to give up but had an inspiration to use boiling water to clear it. I poured boiling water over the intake tube to preheat it, then used a syringe to force boiling water through the passage. Took some pretty high pressure but broke through in about 15 seconds. Now thanks to this video I'll address the float valve and idle ports, make sure gas is getting in, and hope it works after reassembly. If it does, my real work begins, chipping a wood lot full of accumulated slash.
