Why is this cut so much ? In the episode you see Alex telling Gordon about the guy who taught him to cook ,who's now a taxi driver. But in this they cut all that out and you just see Gordon shaking hands with the taxi driver,they've cut loads out here and there

What kind of a sad case must you be to start calling yourself ' Alessandro and thinking your some sort of honorary Italian when you're 100% British. Well this is a guy that uses packet sauces but has A1 chef as a number plate

The first failing restaurant I was glad to see fail. Clueless, narcissist of a chef ("A1 Chef" indeed) and his smarmy maitre d' and dullard sous chef. No thanks.

@eilrahc__

Yeah, there weren’t any foreigners in Britain before 2005, were there? And if there were any we soon saw them off by spray painting NF symbols on their houses, screaming abuse at them late at night while we were pissed, and putting dog shit through their letterboxes, and they soon left, humiliated and terrified. Truly a halcyon age when we knew how to teach people a lesson for being all foreign, and probably brown as well. /s

Brewery chains tend to own most pubs in the UK and lease them out to the landlords. If the landlord fails to hit certain targets they can kick them out

The problem with Gordons approach is that not everyone is going to respond to that militaristic/abrasive form of language. A lot of people will just shut down. You have to have an idea of who you're dealing with and then know how to communicate with them in a way that will get the most out of them. As the saying goes. "Some people need coaching, some people need coddling, some people need comforting".

You forgot’ “some people need telling”😂 I don’t think he can do anything apart from full-on bloodbath. If you watch the very early programmes “boiling point” where he’s trying to get his third star all you see is chefs wiping down and cleaning constantly. I think he got that ethic from Marco PW who sadly he’s since fallen out with.

@@mhoppy6639 In one of the US ones the (dreadful) restaurant he's dealing with is only a couple of blocks from his own New York restaurant. So at one point he walks them round there to see the kitchen. And this restaurant probably cleans their kitchen (superficially) once a month if you're lucky. Gordon tells them 'this kitchen is regularly cleaned, top-to-bottom' and when they say 'how often?' he says 'three times a day'. If you're not cooking you're cleaning.
