Great video! Seems like the light seals are a bit bad though.

Most of the photos where better on the Olympus in my opinion much sharper and more depth to them where there is sufficient light I almost could not believe my eyes the difference is partly from what I can see that you had both cameras wide to open aperture the Olympus being f2.8 and the F1 f1.8 the comparison would have been better I you had shot those photos using the same aperture on both cameras, but still an interesting comparison.

Thank you for commenting and providing your opinion. Hope you liked the overall video. I also think it has to do with the focal length of the camera. TBH, it wasn't really a fair comparison. The F1 has a 50mm and the Olympus has 35mm lens. Therefore, the perspective of the photos felt more immersive with the Olympus as it was able to capture more details of the environment. Regarding the aperture, from what I can recall, I shot both with the same aperture and shutter speed. It has been awhile since I shot this but I believe I might have set my F1 in the wrong ISO. The F1 photos were underexposed (evident with the very green tones, darker and grainy) which shouldn't be the case since all the settings were supposedly the same. The other times I shot the F1 with the same roll, the photos were clear, bright and punchy. The only time it looked like the ones in the photos were when they were not properly exposed. I hadn't been shooting much and am still much a hobbyist at film photography. So, I tend to rush and not do an ISO check beforehand. Bad habit.

@@nuhaashafiqa Yes I like the video very much! You make a good valid point about the two different focal length of these cameras that has to be taken in to count. The F1 is regarded to be one of the best 35mm camera ever made by many few will argue that there for I am amazed how this Olympus point and shoot stands it´s ground so fully and firmly.🙂

Hi! Sorry for the late response. These rolls were dropped off at Riceball, in Peninsula and the film development is done by Camera Assembly. 😁

Hi! Thank you so much for watching and subscribing. Glad you enjoyed the video. 😁 The camera light meter is functioning however I used an external one to meter my shots, just to be safe. LOL. Hoping you all the best and fun times to come when you get the camera.

@Jonny English2020 very wise choice! also looking back at my past work, there is something very charming and timeless about B&W films. Especially candid photos of friends and family.

Good video keep it up. What is the reason for the green hue on some images? I don't think that it is light leak because light leaks are usually have an orange cast. Do you think that some kodak gold 200 on 120 format is defective?
@nuhaashafiqa2 жыл бұрын
Tbh, I don't really know. You're right with the light leaks cos most commonly it will cast a orange cast. Got me head scratching but I'm gonna assume that it might be a lens flare? The timing for the shoot was bright and from what I've read, lens flares are common. It could also be a mixture of the film and the lens flare. Or it could possibly my camera itself? I've yet to try on other film stocks. Maybe in the near future 😉

Canon F-1 Old používam od roku1978 ,ale takéto plytvanie filmovým materiálom nerobím, Úplne stačí vsunúť jazýček filmu do cievky a sledovať otáčanie prevíjaciú kľučku. Takto spravím 38 až 40 obrázkov. Ďakujem za video a želám veľa zdravia v ďalšej užitočnej práci.
