Hey, I have a question for you: How you switched the white-screen to the normal screen? That happened after you switched the flex cable or you can do it before changing it?

I'm selling mine. It was on contract since new and the softtouch pad is wearing out internally. It's a cheapo job buh I don't wanna spend the money coz it's not worth it. This phone is the worst its not even reliable, prolly gonna fuck up on you when you need it the most, never buying lg again.

i have the same problem. my screen came up double at the top. and random colours, then all went negative. now my phone screen freezes whenever i open the slide. but its fine when its closed.

i have the american chocolate vx8550 and mine does this all the time. from the first day i bought it whenever i would type a text too fast or close my phone mid-texting or close it while playing music, it will get stuck and even if i slide it up down press all the buttons or even hold down the end key to try to turn it off, it just stays stuck. so i have to take the battery out, put it back on, and power it up. and then i start recieveing like 2 month old texts that i already read. real annoying

BULL. mine did this too last night & it's something with the faulty 'flex cable' or whatever. these are faulty phones... google "lg chocolate white screen" you get like a billion people that also have this problem.

shit. my chocolate screen turns white. and it calls peopel by itself when i open it. and sends messages when im in the middle of typing one.

I bet your Ribbon Has been used too much you gotta replace it thats what Ive done with my Chocolate I have my chocolate about 1 year now and I changed my ribbon only once.

you need a new flex ribon. my chocolate did the same thig. its the start of a very scary bug that is comone with cocolats. soon youre screen will tern whight and youre toutch pad might stop working. but this vid was posted a year ago so ether you already fixed it or have goten rid of it. oh well. :)

its because the ribbon is hitting the slide mechanism which causes it to wear out get th ribbon changed

dude this happened to my fone exactly except my camera came up with a green screen but if you search for "broken LG chocolate" ull see the same thing happened to tht person and all th comments on tht vid says tht it happened to all there fones!!

that phone is a triband GSM phone meaning it already comes unlocked, but you can only us it for carriers that use sim cards.

my touch pad don't work no more only after 4 months that phone is shit i want my money back

Hmm. I have never had any problems with my Lg Chocolate - its the best phone I have ever had! It even survived going through the washing machine, and the touch screen still works! Loll... sorry about ur chocolate tho ;'[

my camera freezes too! it only started doing it a month or so ago. so bizarre. after a while, the phone resets itself, too. :S oh well, i guess i can't use it's crappy 1.3 megapixel camera any more. :P

I think the flex of the phone (The part that connects the LCD to the keypad) is broken..

i never had a problem wit my phone but the only thing is that when i talk i accidentally hit the touch pad =P

I replaced the flex ribbon cable inside the phone, good as new!

I fixed it.

Take apart the phone, the flex cables are just snap on, so its easy. Snap off old, snap on new.

I am with Fido but I am using the asian version though. I fixed it by changing the flex ribbon cable, works like new now! I just hope it lasts!!!

Those loud sounds are just the system sounds. When there is a call on, there is no speaker phone and the speaker becomes the earpiece which goes pretty quiet during a call. I don't have any files on it. I'm guessing the phone is just faulty, because of a damaged flex ribbon cable connecting the top half of the phone to the other half.
