Thank you for an interesting video of a line I have travelled on several times. On the first occasion it was a blue narrow gauge train starting from a station near the Heuwaage tram stop. I am disappointed that you did not make the important point that at the times of filming, BLT line 10 was split in two. The 'half' in this video was running from Schifflande to Rodersdorf.

I did not finished to updated the informations of the videos. They are updated now. In video 2/3 I took the tram at Barfüsserplatz and not at Schifflänge that is why you don't see it but Schifflänge is displayed on front of the tram as the final destination of this section.

interesting video, especially the impressive train/tram/bus interchange at Dornach. But why were the trams terminating at the Aeschenplatz? Was it track work in Basel City Centre? I believe that they have been doing a lot of track work in early 2024..

The video is from April 2024. At that time there was many works in Basel. The downtown center was in work and the tramways were unable to cross it. The Line 10 was cut in two sections. Dornach - Aeschenplatz then the tramways did a loop thru St Jakobs Strasse, Denkmal, and Mûnchensteinerstrasse then back to Dornach. The second section was from Schifflände, Barfüsserplatz then to Flüh and Rodersdorf. But the access to Rodersdorf was closed few days in April because work on the line to add a second track on sections there was only one. You will see more on my next two videos 😉

Very interesting video. However, it needs to be stressed that this 'lift' is only a few hundred metres from Freiburg's superb old and very historic city centre.

A totally marvellous experience, especially the cable car descent into the suburbs of Luzern. It was possible, at one stage, to hear cowbells from the field below. The new rolling stock looks great. Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺

Ma gare préférée en Suisse: c'est Goldau qui a de multiples connexions pour aller dans tous les coins de la Suisse. Aigle, les autres lignes sont malheureusement trop locales et trop courtes.... mais sympas! :)

Thank you for an excellent video of the transport 'hub' at Aigle, population just over 10,000. The level of public transport provided at 20 00 in the evening was truely amazing. And there were plenty of passengers! I wish we had this level of public transport in Britain where I live! But as someone else recently said, using public transport is part of the 'Swiss cultural DNA'.

Thanks! I agree, so many public transports for this little town! And I did not even speak about the buses lines. In France the regional railways lines are just a shame. So few trains on unmaintained lines and with many lines that are abandoned and stripped! 😡

Salut Rémy, Le compartiment du bas est accessible aux personnes à mobilité réduite avec un ascenseur vertical au sommet du Pilatus. Elles sont plus rapides (15 km/h en montée) et peuvent s'atteler en train de 2 voitures. Plus de passagers par voyage et par jour! Côté négatif, les fenêtres ne s'ouvrent pas! Et tu as vu, le pare brise à côté du conducteur n'est pas équipé d'essuie glace... ce qui est un catastrophe pour les photos/vidéos en cas de pluie!

MOB hat sicherlich einer der schönsten Bahnlinien Europas. Leider gibt es keine Züge mehr in denen das Fenster geöffnet werden kann - nur vollklimatisiert. Deine Ausschnitte sind toll. BRAVO & LIKE

Thank you for an interesting video. However, I am surprised that you did not mention in the written introduction that Sattel-Aegeri station closed on 9th December and that it has been replaced by a new station called just 'Sattel' in the middle of that village.

Salut Rémy, as-tu déjà essayé les nouvelles rames? Perso je ne suis pas convaincu. Leur seule avantage c'est d'être compatibles pour les PMR mais sinon je trouve qu'il y a peu de place à l'intérieur et la livrée est plutôt triste. Mes rames préférées sont encore les toutes anciennes avec des banquettes en bois et avec des vitres qui s'ouvrent. Sur les modernes plus de vitres qui s'ouvrent!!!

Il arrive qu'un funiculaire fonctionne avec une seule des deux voitures utilisée pour les passagers dans le cas où il y a peu de traffic. Dans ce cas là l'autre voiture est fermée et cela permet de n'utiliser qu'un opérateur au lieu de deux. Je ne sais pas si cela répond à votre question 😉

Thank you so much for posting these videos. These were the first funiculars I ever rode on, back when I was a kid. The Minifunic was brand-new then, and of course the big funicular had the old cars then. It really was an amazing experience for a kid from the American Midwest!
