Hi. I’m in canada and I have work permit and study permit at the same time. I am supposed to start Winter term (2024) at a university, but I want to change the university because I have a new admission for Fall 2025 from a better university. So, is there any problem if I change DLI and wait 10 moths to start my education? (I don’t want to study in the previous university at all) Will the study permit cancel if I wait 10 months even if I change the DLI? I searched in IRCC website and knew that we should provide our new admission maximum 150 days after dropping out of previous university, but I don’t understand if it means we have to start the new term until 150 days OR we just have to upload the new admission through the 150 days. Too many friggin immigrants,,, They get OLd age security after living here only 10 years!! even if they have never worked here!! People like me who are 63 and about to get OAS are not getting it until age 67 now!! I lose 2 years of OAS because Canada is funding massive immigration!! They changed the zoning laws to accommodate massive influx. They destroyed two homes in our neighbourhood just 2,,, but they are building 2, seven dwellings ( apartments) I have to pay $26,000 to build a garage on the back of my property so I will have a place to park! There are job postings in one city that I live in that are only for nurses that have not moved to Canada yet. Nobody else is allowed to apply. One whole chunk of my city is all immigrants and even more throughout most of them don’t know how to speak English and so we have to pay interpreters to interpret for us or make multiple calls to many family members before we can find one who speaks English to set up appointments. The whole thing is ridiculous. I wish they would get Trudeau out of there as soon as possible and hopefully send so many immigrants packing and back home. I Used to be for immigration. No longer!!
