The Rotoped comes into its own when being used for trenching in heavy clay. The tracks prevent slippage that normal wheels might cause which would make the trench collapse inwards.

You can hear the work the car is doing. That's amazing. Especially since the freelander has no Low range gearbox or transfer cases to help it out mechanically.

there seems to be something very wrong with your Toolchanger.. the slides should NEVER move while changing tools.. EVER.. as that poses a very high risk of tool collision with the workpiece

Wait, how did u manage to light the flame after u took the lighter away? Did u have a piece of cloth waste in the firebox or something? Is that still required even for gas?

He lit a pilot flame that serves as ignition for the main burner.

Locomotives made for shunting trucks and hauling freight: *exists* People: Oh hell yeah now this looks like a hobby for me Btw I'm not making fun, I myself am super into locomotives-- I'm just making a joke, 'cause I find it strange yet amazing that we found a hobby in industrial machinery

I've found it's not so much the industry itself, as the history and the joy we take in recreating it.

Hi Ali. What was the issue with the axle pump and how did you overcome it? What volume do you get from the pump? Does it exceed water lost as steam or do you need to use hand pump too to keep the boiler topped up? Having problems with another "Alice". Thanks

what is the approx top speed of this with the throttle wide open?
@twiggacott12 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that The tight spot is mechanical not valve timing related as I can feel the tight spot when I rotate it by hand and with the RH connecting rod off it's smooth. Binding or tightness on the rod bearing I'm sure

Lovey to find this clip as I have just bought this loco. It isn't quite as shiny now but a bit of TLC will help. It has been converted to coal firing since this clip was taken. I would love to find out more about its history.

@twiggacott oh, sorry to hear about your friend, was it sold on ebay?
@twiggacott13 жыл бұрын
No I didn't build it. It was built by a friend who unfortunately due to poor health could not run it and these video clips were taken to accompany its listing on ebay.

you should give it some running boards and a headlight. Did you build it?
