the song is 4/4, playng it I consider that hihat is in triplets 3/8 each ( pause croma pause - croma pause croma - pause croma pause - croma pause croma) , the kick also in triplets (croma pause croma - pause pause croma - croma pause croma - pause pause croma) and the snare markes the accent where it is in this song: on the first croma on second e fourth triplet. It seems to me you're playng it very good.

I’m considering learning four-mallet technique, do you, as what i assume is an experienced marimbist/vibraphonist, think this is a good starting point?

@anidiot4702 you should start with a solo from Mark Ford's "Technique Through Music". It takes you through all sorts of necessary skills for four-mallet playing and includes 16 different solos to learn as you progress.

As far as technique is concerned, this is not a hard piece. However, starting with books like the one mentioned by @jacobzufelt3433 will assist in developing the essential skills required not only to play the piece but also to perform it pleasantly.

Great job, except one thing…the kick stern is just quarters in the one and three. NOT a shuffle-the bass synth and bass guitar playa shuffle, but not the kick drum.

You sound so good! I love this arrangement, I know it on piano mostly, but I would love to learn on vibes, my vibraphone is my baby, I love playing so much. The sound is so beautiful though and the note accuracy and power with burton is honestly really good. Nice job!
