Can this install be done by a handyman - after watching your video? Should I get gas struts for 100 lb lift?

I wanted to thank you for this video. I bought the part off amazon and put it on my standard XP 3.0 and I LOVE IT! works perfect. I ordered another for my Wife's XP 3.0. I found the handlebars are closer to you and I can turn on a dime without feeling shaky. For Lectric xp or others it's a must have. THANKS AGAIN! 🇺🇸

So five months in, how is the toilet doing? I'm thinking about putting in a couple of these. Any issues? Somebody mentioned cleaning difficulty. Is that true? And how about the flush assist mechanism in the tank? Still working okay? Thanks for any reply, really helpful video!

You must have been shorted a page in your instructions. My manual has this, and I am quoting " The fourth bag of rocks are included as spares and labelled “Spare Rocks”. These can be stored and used as replacements. Your included Cover & Carry kit is to be used for storage and transportation as shown. The carry straps are designed to hook onto the bottom of the Outland Living Firebowl’s waistband. Please note the carry straps fit snug but will stretch enough to ensure the perfect fit." Your kit has only 3 bags but I can clearly see at 2:23 of your video one bag has (spare rocks) written right on it

I can see that maybe the straps fit to the base ring not the lid. As for the rocks, only received three bags and none were labeled as a spare.

They work just fine but when they start collecting mold in the holes under the bowl ring they are just as difficult to keep clean (and) you cannot add and drop ins in the tank. WHY? There is no room to put a drop in tablet in the tank. You will be spending a lot of time cleaning this toilet bowl. Especially on the underside of the bowl ring. Would I buy this ever again? NO.

Hey buddy, I want to say thanks for the video. I noticed in the video that you ended up having to change your piston to a lighter one. So I had just put in a real mattress which was a big difference in weight. So I ended up going with the 125 lbs. I didn't notice the difference in our mattresses until I watched the video until the end of my 3rd viewing.

Did you have an issue with your strut being hard to close?
@dannyboy7777777
@dannyboy7777777 2 ай бұрын
@@rvrguyd so the funny thing with this story. I originally ordered the 125 lbs and then watched your video. So the logical thing to do was return them and buy 30 lbs. I installed them and they didn't work so I bought 80lbs and those did not work either. So I bought the original order again and they should be here tomorrow. So between all my returns with amazon and visits to the post office. It's yet to be resolved. With that being said you video was very helpful on the installation. Let's hope 3 times is a charm. I'm hopeful that the extra weight will make it easier to close. I will keep you posted. And have a great camping season.

Ebikes come with price points that can vary by thousands of dollars and since riders came in all shapes and sizes, a bike is not a "one size fits all" piece of equipment so, to address such issues one might find that a stem like this helps or fixes a problem they might have. For many a $25 fix is ok instead of buying a bike costing 4k.

052524 I followed your video and was able to add the bike stem to my Lectric XP 2.0 after not riding it for 2 years because of the handlebars. I rotated them, but was unable to fold the bike appropriately to transport it in a storage bin in my car. Your video made me reverse my earlier action and install the bike stem. It's been great. I have not experienced the "tiller" handlebar issue. I had a great bike ride today around the neighborhood with no issues. Although, my left hand still gets numb, but not as bad as before. Thanks for sharing this simple fix. It has been a godsend and has enabled me to begin riding my lectric ebike again!

People are saying this is wrong amd the bottom of the struts should be inwards and the top outward also that is why it called for 80lb struts. Looks like if it is done this way it won't slam shut?
@craiglenhard-rvrguyd
@craiglenhard-rvrguyd 4 ай бұрын
Read the comments. No one is saying it is wrong in this video. I tried 80 lb struts and I could not close the lid. I guess you could mount struts back closer to the hinge, but I only needed the lid to open so far, and this positioning worked perfectly.

Unfortunately you were sold the wrong product for the job . what you were using was designed for uneven floors where the entire bag is mixed then poured on the floor and with a minimal amount of troweling is permitted to seek it's level by itself. you needed a product such as Ardex feather finish that is better suited for the type of patching you were doing this product has no sand and can be troweled to nothing. There are several other products similar to Ardex such as Planipatch ,Mapei or Uzin all are good products Although I prefer Ardex . I have been in the floor covering industry for over 55 years and have had a great deal of experience with patching materials . I hope this helps . Rog

Personally, I like the Magura MT5e brakes, the " e " designates for ebike because it has the motor cut out switch built in, I think it's up too series 7 now, but the MT5's are 4 piston calipers which gives you much nicer braking control, consider increasing the size of your rotors, you only have 160 mm, you can go up too 203mm for standard brakes and Magura makes a 220mm, larger rotor gives better braking control, brakes run cooler, long pad life but those cost about $120 each and you need to buy and extra adapter $20 each. Note: you still use the regular adapter for 203 mm but then you use the extra one in between the 203 adapter and the brake caliper, bolts are included, it's actually a very nice set up with the 220mm rotors. However MT5e's will set you back about $500, Shimano to my knowledge does not make a brake for ebike, there are different types of pads to consider as well, resin and semi metallic. Now if you want to stay with mechanical brakes.. heh you can get 255mm brake rotors from bicycle designer in USA and yes, they are HUGE but look awesome on a 26" wheel. If you change your rotors use a TORQUE wrench and make sure you use the correct pattern to tighten them, you always cross over diagonally to do a 6 point star, blue locktite if not already on bolts.... Zoom brakes are kinda the really budget brand like wally mart...

I'm seeing your channel for the first time. Have you completed a thru-hike? I'm starting my attempt in 03/25, and I'm already doing 7 - 10 miles with boots and pack daily. I have to back off a day occasionally, but I can generally do seven without skipping one. It's the camping I need to train for. I need to be able to set up and take down quietly in the dark.

I started March 2 of 2018. Did 14 miles the 1st day. I was the second oldest hiker that year that I know of. Coldest winter in 20 years which didn't bother me too much. I had to leave the trail in TN. but have done other sections in MD & PA. There are some good Facebook groups out there if you have questions. I lost 10 lbs training and another 17 hiking. LOL
