What I hate about the S500/800 is the fact they need the phone app always in sync to work properly. Very stupid and drains a lot of battery on both sides. I returned the S800 for this reason. For the rest, it is a great computer.

Hi, I just bought one of these but have not used it yet due to work commitments. My question is, if you stop during a ride say for a break, will it turn off by itself? If so, when you go to resume your ride, will it automatically restart and resume where it was? Or do you need to turn it off when you stop and turn it on again? I had another cheap brand it it would automatically turn off by itself and you had to wake it up for it to resume with out losing any ride data. Thanks

Holy cow - that’s a lot of Garmin devices you have! I like my unit but notice that the notifications sound when training are not loud enough even on loudest setting (outdoor workouts, with wind etc). Hope Garmin addresses it. Cheers
