All fun, but #7 is especially, lusciously deliriously artful.

Unfortunately the playback seems to have butchered the repeated pattern the viola plays. Although, I feel like that part would've worked better on the cello, or overall the piece needs to be a lower pitch, like the original.

This is so good. Making this into a full orchestra would be great and making the last part stronger and louder would be perfect.

The 2nd Rhapsody is the first piece I ever played with the contra-A in it. Both pieces are terrific. The first one is *much* more difficult than the 2nd one, although both have some awkward passages--familiar to any pianist who has played a lot of Brahms; his works, great as they are, tend not to be very pianistic.
@evilBreadD-jf9goАй бұрын
I very much agree with your statement about Brahms’ piano writing tending to be unpianistic-see, for example, the horn trio, specifically the first più mosso in the first movement, and the alternating octaves found in the beginning of the development and coda of the fourth movement.

Repent and trust in Jesus. We all deserve Hell for our sins, such as lying lusting coveting and more. We can't save ourselves, but Jesus can save us. He died on the cross to save us for our sins and rose from the grave defeating death and Hell. You must put your faith in him only. He is the only way to Heaven. Repent and trust in Jesus. Romans 6:23 John 3:16❤❤😊

I took organ lessons for a brief perod of time and my teacher had these pieces sitting on her piano. I always enjoyed playing the first waltz after our lessons while her and my mom would chat.

Trully amazing work! However, there are two synths used - besides the DX7, Juno-106 or Jupiter-8 are also used...

To my ear it sounds nothing like Chopin, having little of that composers lightness, ornamentation or arabesque qualities. More like Beethoven.

Seeing online that these Rhapsodies were written in connection with Brahms' love or infatuation with a much younger married woman, Elisabeth von Herzogenberg. Apparently Elisabeth's husband intervened. These pieces were dedicated to her, expressing Brahms'unhappiness with how things turned out. However, heartbreak seems to have been a pattern for Brahms, beginning at age 20 with his relationship with his mentor Robert Schumann's wife, Clara, when she was in her mid 30s.

this is an amazing cover, I’ve always been a huge fan of string instruments. quick question: do you know if it’s possible to make this into a piece for a concert band? I’d love to play this on trumpet and it’d be so amazing to maybe get some people together and make a cover of this
