When I spray my trays the soil goes everywhere, what am I doing wrong? I use 50/50 compost and peat moss.

Wow!! Beautiful transformation! We added two arbors similar to yours this fall and am excited to see the vine I chose grow up them. We stained our wood raised beds black to go with the black metal of the arbors. It looks sharp. Maybe consider staining yours green or black to tie in more with the other beds? Anyhow, very good video, nice job!

How long will those seedlings stay in the 128 tray? Where will they move to next?
@PopsFlowers
@PopsFlowers 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Catherine! Great question! They will stay in the 128 trays til they are a few inches tall. Then we'll harden them off by opening up the tunnel ends and sides for a few days. Then they'll go straight out into the field. We don't pot them up because of the labor associated in doing so - it significantly increases our cost of production per a stem. Hope this helps! And thanks for watching! :)

This is a question from yesterday’s video, But what did you mean by weed pressure? Is it the competition for nutrients?
@PopsFlowers
@PopsFlowers 2 жыл бұрын
Good question! Yes, competition from weeds for nutrients in the soil, water, and sunlight! If you direct sew seeds in the garden now they will sit and wait to germinate til it is warm enough to do so. The problem is that the weeds have also planted seeds that are also waiting to germinate. Both your seeds and the weed seeds will germinate at the same time. And then your desired seedlings are lost in a sea of weed seedlings. Very hard to pick out the weeds without disturbing your desired seedlings. AND the weeds will often grow faster than your seedlings, making it even harder for the baby plants you love to grow big and strong. Hope this helps clarify! <3 thanks for watching and all your support! :)

Newbie here!! 1st season. I took last year to get as much information as possible. I decided to "FOLLOW THE PLAN " !!! I have a large calendar and I have written when to perform jobs. Stick to it!! That's how you succeed. Be like a weeping willow, bend and sway with the wind. I watch many other content Creator's on flower farming and one I noticed that she planted all her tulips really early as if it snows or a colder climate and I decided to wait until I saw them being sold in stores, well zone 8b just got winter temperatures. I used this theory to gauge when to plant. Now her tulips are coming up and she still may get snow, she got it last year very late. So, question? Will they die??

I think a lot of the rushing into the,season is that there is no income at this time of the year. I too am growing cold hardy veg seeds. But because I sell the starts
@PopsFlowers
@PopsFlowers 2 жыл бұрын
That's a really good point. Our farm hasn't had income in months and I completely understand where you're coming from!! Out of curiosity, what cold veggie starts sell best for you?:)
