PSA Beta build is same as first beta. Not optimized. Just giving us another chance to get in and fight a couple new monsters before launch. Game at launch will be fully optimized. MH team has stated they may even be able to lower the PC specs.

Now that there are multiple manufacturers of steam decks, I hope that someone produces a steam deck mini along the lines of the Switch mini. I have 800 Steam games and so it would not worry me if the mini had a slightly slower processor so long as the steam deck mini was more portable.

I honestly couldn't even get to the gameplay. I use the TCA Boeing yoke pack and the throttle is just unusable. I tried for around 2 hours and couldn't get the throttles to stop going up and down on their own. Setting it up in 2020 was a walk in the park compared to 2024.

Doing this could hurt their marketing. They need to put a big fat disclaimer about performance and improvements of the beta compared to the actual build of the game, maybe even referencing their video. It's already easy to get a bad impression with the game.

I'm not surprised at all, when 2020 came out it had so many bugs when they fixed one or 2 bugs, 4 more bugs popped out.. Asobo spent so much time fixing bugs that they only got enough of them fixed by the end of 2023, LOL And many more bugs are still there, when they announced they was coming out with MSFS 2024, said 2024, why don't you fix 2020 before you come out with a new simulator i mean really? Microsoft made a huge mistake giving MSFS project to ASOBO, they are a laughing stalk.. now i see 2024 is out and see how many bugs they are here, it's like 2020 all over again only worst.. Want a really great simulator, get Prepar3D v6, or v5 either of them are way better and more solid and DON'T have bugs.. and everything works.. Dude the biggest mistake Microsoft made was not building this them self, and handing the contract over to ASOBO, ASOBO should be ashamed of them self's. Good time for me since I just found a need for a SteamOS device: A gaming platform that's not a phone so I can spend more time with my dad instead of staying in my office most of the day. I'm his full-time caregiver, so at times he starts wondering where I'm at. I would really like to get a handheld device capable of gaming decently so I can sit on the couch while he watches TV. I don't go many places for very long so the actual mobility isn't really needed..just enough to sit on the couch with. I recently (in the past few weeks) moved to Manjaro for my gaming PC's primary OS alongside my old debloated Windows 10 install. I only go back to windows when I need to transfer something to linux...or i need to chkdsk the NTFS drives I'm sharing with linux (for now). Definitely #Never11. Linux has a long way to go to be as smooth as Windows. I've definitely run into speedbumps getting my system adapted to my peripherals (staring at you Steelseries). They would definitely be non-starters for a non-techie.

Really hoping for a proper desktop release of Steam OS for anyone to download and install on any computer. I know there's hacky ways to do it but I'm looking for official support. I've had it up to here with how many gonads Windows 11 gargles and would love to try something else that I know is going to work easily. I'm exactly the person you described towards the end of the video. I don't want to try something more hacky and then need to rely on the Linux community to get help with something only to be told I should go back to Windows because the Linux community is the one thing that gargles more gonads than Windows 11.

as a steam deck owner i am definetly keeping an eye on what Valve is doing with SteamOS, dont know if ill jump ship straight away, might give it a few months to have the kinks worked out BUT i am definetly hyped, plus afaik i dont play any games that use anti cheat, plus having something more barebones similar to linux will prolly free up some resources that windows hogs up for its "monitoring" and other garbage.

The one with SF ideas, ,possibilities, and with modern FX and ambitious storytelling could be a GREAT outlet to show new creatures, fun and interesting alien cultures, and why not wonderful technologies or way people could be better and striving to create things in the universe, while opposing hates, fears, and having crazy adventures. There is new way to imagine Stars, exotic planets, and so. The science is today full of new ideas, new discoveries, interesting theories about Black Hole, planetary systems. and, also, we have to go forward in future.

the $499 steam os lenovo legion go s supposedly has a z1 extreme, while the base z2 go steam os version will be $599, but that is what I have gathered from a few different gaming news sites. If that is the case, which one would you recommend, I'm honestly leaning towards the one with the z1 extreme if those reports were true. I'm not to bothered not being able to play Monster Hunter Wilds, I'm just looking at a new device to possibly hold me off till I can upgrade to the steam deck 2. My current Steam Deck is hit or miss if it wants to randomly turn off on me after upgrading the storage and I'm out of the warranty range since I've had my steam deck for a good 2 years now. Edit: I like the design of the new handheld and interested in the new handheld if I can get it for a decent price.
