Wow so glad to find this! Did Fred Sturm ever record his music in the years before his death?

Were you inside a pillow when you recorded this? The narration is damnably close to inaudible.

Most worthy of mentioning here is Beth Sorrentino (now solo, formerly of Suddenly, Tammy!) album, Would you like to go - a curt boettcher songbook. It has 11 regular songs, including a fantastic cover of "Along Comes Mary," plus what sounds like a Levi's commercial. Cuts are here on YT, and if you are lucky, you can find the CD.

Slug Line is a brilliant album. Hiatt and Yankus made great music on it.

This is a pleasant if flawed historical summary. A few corrections: Boettcher's folk band was the GoldeBriars, not the Greenbriars. Also, Boettcher produced the Ballroom before going to Columbia/CBS. It's particularly strange that you omitted the Millennium album Begin, which is considered his greatest work, while highlighting the Dennis Wilson album, for which Boettcher's input was limited to backing vocals. Still, it's great to see him receiving some recognition in his home state. And I'm warmed to hear you describe the rediscovery of Boettcher's music after his death.
