Use a metronome, it will help you improve, and you can pick the perfect tempo where you feel more comfortable with.

Yeah, I know my tempo is not solid. Honestly, for years I played it like 3/8 (as marked) and I just recently started experimenting with feeling it in 6/16. That completely threw my tempo off, but I like how odd it feels. It's a work in progress.
