Okay for the whole white sage issue. NonNatives can use white sage as long as they purchase the sage from a Native seller, plant the sage from seed or it is gifted to them. The use of white sage was taught to my grandmother by her Native friends and they even gave her some sage. As long as you are not taking the sage from the forest you are fine. Also this is coming from someone with Native heritage.

Currently watching this, while in my bed on a school night burning incense. I like to use my craft, and objects I use with it, very carefully and respect others wishes. I had asked my dad if I could burn incense, he said yes. I still open the door and turn on the fan. I asked him how he liked the smell, and he said it was nice! My dad is non-witchy and doesn't really know what's going on, but he supports me, and accepts who I am. I love my dad :)

8:28 DO NOT DO THIS! DO NOT BURY ANY GLASS OR PLASTIC AS IT IS NOT BIODEGRADABLE AND NEVER EVER PUT SALT ON THE GROUND WHERE PLANTS COULD GROW, IT KILLS THEM! USE EGG SHELLS INSTEAD, THEY ARE GOOD PLANT FOOD AND THEY HAVE SIMILAR PROPETIES TO SALT

I find all of these compilations very interesting, and I'd like to be informed by someone experienced in the matter on what exactly witchtok is, although i guess I could also go to Google. Also ik this isn't a cottage ore thing, but I also need explaining on that lol. No judging me pls.

I see a whole lot of people use polo santo, but isn’t that cultural appropriation like white sage? Correct me if I’m wrong I’m new to this sort of thing

Well sorry for the grammar its because i'm not fluent in english but if you do it with a good intention and not get so many then its okay. If you are in the same culture too its okay.

Not a good idea to bury glass and PLEASE don't toss salt in the ground. I incorporate deconstructed materials into my practice so I suggest looking at that.

Okay, I need a couple of experienced witches to help me here. I really want to get into witchcraft, but I've kind of forced myself into a way of thinking that kind of doesn't allow me to have a spiritual life? I feel like everything has to be proven by fact, and I feel guilty almost when I want to believe in things like spirits? Like, my friend's mum and my friend(Who are quite spiritual) asked me if I believe in faeries, and I was really startled and said not really, just because so far there wasn't any proof that I had seen that they did exist? (this was quite some time ago now) and they said "Oh, not actually, more just for fun!" and I was still trying to get my head around it? And now I feel like spirits might be real, but I'm unsure, and idk what to do! I want to get into witchcraft to explore it, and to try and calm myself, but honestly I'm not sure if it's considered offensive, and I would feel really bad if I did offend people. I'm a person that believes greatly in science, and I want to be an astronomer. Basically, my main questions are (and don't feel pressured to answer them, it's only if you can!): 1. What do I have to believe in to be a witch, because I have a feeling the spirits might be from another dimension communicating with ours maybe? But I wish for more proof. 2. Is there any way to get me out of this way of thinking, because I know there are several successful religious scientists, I would just like to be an atheist witch. I also think my issue might be that I feel like I'd have to constantly be in touch with the spiritual side, when really, I just want to charm animals, make potions, and (potentially) communicate with spirits. Thank you so much! Also! If it helps, this is what I believe in, because I found a lot of these are real. -Quite a lot of potions that impact people physically via consumption -(potentially) spirits -smoke charming (I feel it's a form of meditation, although I may be wrong. Please tell me if I am!) -Certain phycological spells that work on the caster (Potentially more) (If the spirits I feel are real, just in a different reality, then that opens a lot more doors)

i feel the same !! it’s making it kind of hard because i’m so skeptic of stuff which makes it hard to feel a connection with crystals or my tarot decks :( i’m not sure how to get out of that mindset either, i am also an atheist witch so i feel you <3

Yyyooo I’m the same way. It’s so sad because I feel like I can’t enjoy the simple things in life like other people do like “oh the sunset is so beautiful” and I’m just like “...it’s the sun” or “oh you’ll feel it in your heart” and I’m very “the heart pumps blood, emotions come from the brain”.
