they were amazing, one of the best crowds we've ever been a part of at Til Two. and to think we almost missed 'em cos i didn't realize The Crotches was A.Lonzo's rock'n'roll band! we were familiar with his song Hey with Red Axes...and we did miss that performance last spring (-_-)

Getting to witness all those layers of sound being made and hearing them come together in one enormous drenching of noise is what makes The Black Angels great, plus their lights and visuals are so perfect that the brain automatically remembers and resets into the proper state of enjoyment

these guys are insufferable because of that synth, he does the same thing over every song. Wide open sine wave with no filter whatsoever just frequency sweeping it around, I just saw them like 5 days ago and had to leave it is fucking painful as hell and he needs to be smacked. apologies for the rant but its true.
