When playing as undead rogue I used to enter the stealth mode and AFK under HHs walls just to listen to music

I didnt get to play Vanilla/TBC and Wrath because i was too young. Started in Mists of pandaria and eventually played Warcraft 3. Came back for TBC classic and played until the end of Wrath. WC3/TBC/Wrath were by FAR the most magical experiences I've ever had in a fantasy game.

As an old school Warcraft II fan, reaching Outland several years after Draenor's destruction when The Burning Crusade first released was really something, an experience in its own right. Every time I heard that music entering Honor Hold, I always remember that first wave of emotion that hit me as it always did. I thought about the veterans and the survivors of the Alliance Expedition from the second war, along with the graveyard of the unfortunate soldiers that didn't live to see the dark portal and their way home re-open once again. From Danath Trollbane to the lowest ranking officer, I saw the way each of them had become aged and tired, yet still standing. Many were eager to return to their ruined kingdoms back in Azeroth, but not until the job was done. For the Alliance!

You can even smell the near end of Arthas Menethil.

These beautiful songs make me want to resub and try to get reexperience the glory days. Sadly, that's not really possible anymore. Game/player dynamics have changed too much, new expansions come and go, old friends move on, new responsibilities demand your time, and so on. But I will never forget how much fun I had with my friends playing wow non-stop for like 6 years straight. Hellfire peninsula will always be a cherished memory.

i'm pretty sure this music was for diablo 3 blizzard north (2005) initially.

I know TBC classic will have truly returned when I walk into honor hold and hear the trumpet sounding defiantly into the nether of the hold that held years for the alliance to return
