guys trying to make sense of what doesn’t actually have sense, bro I’m not hating but Imm not a fan of the cloning shit and and of any game that has a sense of stupid cloning like this, with all due respect.

With all due respect. Your comment makes zero sense. It’s a video about a case, not a clone, not a game. But a case. Now, explain your comment?

@@MeanMachineDean strange, I didn’t put this comment here at all.. but since you are here, I’m a big fan of playdate and I really love this case, shame it’s not available in the store anymore.. but back again, seriously, how tf did this comment come here lol.. is it really me? or youtube going through issues.. I’m 100% sure I put this comment on a different video..

Unfortunately, the company has actually been sold from what I have seen on Twitter. My advice would be to look at something like a keyboard style hitbox. A shame they sold the business but I have no other details except what is on their Twitter/X feed.

@@warlord-lu2eu There are actually quite a few. Some were done well, minus poor acting. Some went a little over the top and delivered what can only be described as ‘garbage’. Definitely look for some ‘American Laser Games’ titles and you will see more of the ‘cheesy’ acting :D

I remember getting jealous of the first winner of Games World because he won the original Mortal Kombat arcade lol. Games World, Games Master and Bad influence were the best of the 90s videogames shows for me.

The three you named there were true leaders in their own way. Influential for the gaming market back then too! Some wonderful memories for me, and I really hope these types of shows make a more regular return. It’s what’s needed.

Moonstone is unquestionably in my top 5 list of the best and most tightly designed games of all time. The fact that Rob was juggling illustrations, animation pipeline, and 68k assembly more or less on his own boggles my mind. I'm so grateful for Unity, and I cannot fathom the amount of talent and hard-earned skills required to create a good game back then. One interesting fact from this interview is when Rob explains that the caption "A hard day's knight" was forced upon him by Mindscape. I always felt it was oddly out of place in an otherwise perfect game. That, and maybe the cover art, struck a tone that felt too light for the dark humor of the gameplay itself, which stood great on its own without any exposition, in my opinion. I'm excited about the new iteration of Moonstone! Streets of Rage 4 proved that you don't need to cater to the hardcore retro crowd to be successful with an old franchise, so I hope Rob will try out a new art style.

Dean, first thing i will do when i meet you again is give you a massive hug. We all have to admit these things, and live our life the best we can. I've delt with these things for decades, but really we all need to talk about this, before it eats us up. You are my friend, and when ever you need to talk, im on discord to talk. Be brave, be true, and to thy own self be true. xx

Also big respect for sharing your experience and advice with others just knowing what others are going through too can make a big impact and change. If just 1 person makes the decision to speak to someone or their GP after watching this that's massive. Keep making the content you enjoy but remember its ok to take a break if it stops being fun.

Sorry to hear this Dean. It's important to remember that you don't have an obligation to viewers - the great thing about these platforms is that you can post as much or as little as you want. I've had spells over the years on The Pixel Empire where I've felt stressed by self-imposed deadlines, the idea I needed to be putting out 'X' amount of content. In the end, it's far more important that you enjoy the process because it shows in your work. Life comes first. I had really bad A&D at the start of 2017, so abruptly stopped for about 6 months, until I felt I could start writing again. It's impressive and heartening that you're able to talk about your struggles so openly, I'm no stranger to anxiety and depression (and Sertraline!) but have often struggled to articulate it to loved ones. Hope things are on the up for you 😊

Hi Dean. None of this is your fault and it's only natural to want to bottle it up and hope it goes away, you can't blame yourself for the past 2 years. It's all too common these days and talking about it not only (hopefully) helps you but so many others too, so thanks for this. So glad to hear that it sounds like you're making progress and getting better. I look forward to entertaining you with more Cliff Richard song requests whenever you feel you're ready to come back, but please don't rush. We'll all still be here. 🙂
