Very nice video :D Do you find that Alor has many fish swimming around?
@rainer.de.reuter10 ай бұрын
Lots of small fish. For big stuff you must be a bit lucky. Hammerhead all year and you can find Thresher Sharks. But Alor is the only place I see something special on every dive. And Alor has many dive sites in a small area and everyone is different.

@@rainer.de.reuter Thank you for your answer :) I was there 9 years ago on a liveaboard from Maumere to Saumlaki. We stayed one or 2 days but I remember that I liked the muck diving there, I saw some Rhinopias. But otherwise I don't remember that much. During the first minutes of your videos I really like the fish groups that you saw. What special things did you see there? In January I was on Pulau Proco and I found it nice there too because there were sometimes big schools of fusilliers, some bumphead parrotfish, Naoplean wrasses and many Pontohi and Seversi seahorses. Raja4 are still the best but a little bit less great than 10 years ago.

Great video of this destination, thank you very much to share it. Please do you think Nusa Laut and the others spots are suitable for snorkeliers, or the things and fish are too deep (I do not dive) ? Where is the jetty ? You stayed allthe time at Mahu Lodge ?
@rainer.de.reuter2 жыл бұрын
The jetty is near Pantai Kulur on Saparua island. Stayed all time at Mahu and going around by boat. Snorkeling at Nusa Laut and Saparua is good. Another guest did a lot of snorkeling there. For snorkeling I would prefer Nusa Laut and Molana. For more information contact Mahu Lodge.

What kind of jacks are these?
@rainer.de.reuter2 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry, I don't know. Not an expert in this.
@chisaquaticvibe65242 жыл бұрын
I think they're most likely bigeye trevally. They commonly swim in schools, and they can tolerate both salt and freshwater.

Hi Rainer! I love watching your Alor videos! My husband and I have considered diving Alor but I am a little worried about the current. Is there always ripping current or are there also spots or even seasons with "enjoyable", less current?
@rainer.de.reuter2 жыл бұрын
Alor has many dive spots. So depending on the conditions there are always places with less or no current. The guide knows where to go.
