The actor playing Feste was in the Globe production of Much Ado about Nothing with the all male cast in 2012 he played Boracchio, so yes they are all professional actors.

There are many wonderful things about this production but the ever present background music which often covers the dialogue is not one them.

Awesome acting. They must be professionals. If it wasnt modern it would be the best rendition on here

It's not uncommon with productions of Shakespeare. For example, there's Richard III with Ian McKellen, from 1995, in which the action is shifted to 1930s Britain.

Everyone was so good but Anthony Bunsee (Malvolio) really stole the show for me. I love how straight he plays the character. It really sells the comedy, tragedy and class of the character. I would love to see more of him and I'm actually interested in seeing Malvolio get his revenge.

I'm full of admiration for this production. I'm new to the play, know only Trevor Nunn's beautiful film, and was looking for a performance of the complete text. KZbin (bless it) abounds with versions that play it as a broad comedy, like The Merry Wives of Windsor, or are stilted classics from 50 years ago. But this is different. In the second scene a person, possibly African, washed up on a northern shore, asks what I took to be a first responder, “What country, friends, is this?” Instead of drifting into romantic fantasy, we are right in the here and now. There’s nothing “amateur” about this production. And the cast is an absolute delight. The actors make the roles their own; and lines I had not noticed shine. The woman who plays Viola/Sebastian, though she acts in a way I am not accustomed to, I think I would clap loudest for. She weighs her words, has very clear diction, doesn't break up her lines to weep, and in her sobriety is an interesting foil to the others, who become increasingly comical and giddy. Watching this made me really happy and, as an English expat, proud.

And yet the basic problem with modern dress productions is that the Shakespearean language is usually retained, thus creating incongruity. This is the most diverse production I’ve seen but not the best. #Malvolio is a famous role played by some of the greatest actors/comedians of the 20th century.

Wow! This is great! I love Twelfth Night. I must have watched over a dozen versions, on film and live. The interview between Viola and Olivia is one of my favourite scenes. You played it so well. I also love the fact that you are keeping to the original text and not cutting it up and skipping bits. It is so disappointing that there are so few views and likes. It deserves so much more.

Students should be pausing at every scene's end and pay attention to questions arising here.

Faithful to the original text with some talented acting. The modern setting and comedic/romantic playfulness was also handled nicely :)
