I met Nicky Crane a couple of times when I was about 15, he would have been early twenties. I had a group of friends , a black kid , an indian and a skinhead, an unlikely bunch we were. Our skinhead friend was a friend of Nicky Crane , and we ended up meeting him on Plumstead common, south east London just hanging around smoking and chatting . At that time he was of slight build , quietly spoken and didnt seem intimidating at all, if anything he appeared quite withdrawn apart from the way he was dressed, boots , braces and all. I was surprised to learn in later years the reputation he had and his association with BM, combat 18 etc.

Nicky Crane is an example that, shock horror, gay people can be massive racists just like anyone can be a complete moron. Just like Ernst Rohm was an out homosexual man in the Nazi party and was best buddies with Hitler (until he murdered him for having too much power) in 1934. Another reason why woke identity politics are utter nonsense and being one identity doesn't mean you are not a complex mix of lots of things .

Nick Crane fought notorious Asian hard man Andi Ali in June 1987 in a prize fight outside Luton. I was there as was Cliff Fields who beat Lenny McLean. Ali knocked him out in a minute, Crane stood no chance.

The lead singer of screwdriver died of aids whilst driving. he suffered some aids body convulsion and subsequently crashed his car. His former boyfriend, Nicky Crane also died of aids and may have passed it onto the screwdriver lead singer.
