Right there with ya on that. DEATH ANGEL/FORBIDDEN was my 1st thrash show, 89/90 I believe. Yeah I was 14, and my life changed that night. I was already ingesting all the albums I could, dissecting the inner artwork sleeves, etc, reading all the lyrics and learning about every other metal band that I could, through promos, and even by the shirts the band members would wear of other bands lol. Seeing Death Angel/Forbidden at Allentown Airport Music Hall Pennsylvania , man I went on a blitzkrieg of shows nearly every weekend for years haha. The second show was Kreator/Morgoth. So the first band you and I saw, though in separate states on opposite coasts, they opened the door for so many more. I even ended up playing in my own self written bands, tours, records, takes, CDs and all. Hearing forbidden turn that stage into a rumbling rumble of thunder started it all up. Cheers man

Man, I wore this tape out in my nascent metalhead days...this set and Dark Angel's blew the fucking roof off of that place...and the volume out of my TV haha. Simply calling either band "thrash" diminishes the depth of their talent...the compositions here are as beautiful as they are brutal...
