Thank you! This works really well for skirts, as well. I wish I would have known this method years ago.

How do you stop them from fraying further?

This is a key detail that no one seems to bother addressing.
@a.jflores388 Жыл бұрын
It should be fine, and even if it does it wouldn't be noticeable, I did it on a pair of jeans a while ago and they're fine
@elizabethk2072 Жыл бұрын
You can run a line of fabric glue on the inside, stabilises the fraying
@GOD999MODE Жыл бұрын
@@elizabethk2072 Do you know if stitching a straight stitch on the edge makes a difference at all? Perhaps about 1-2mm above the raw edge.
@elizabethk2072 Жыл бұрын
@@GOD999MODE it will also work, just means you’ll have a visible stitch

Check first if your vintage Levi’s are either selvedge or made in USA, in that case I’d advise you not to cut them as that would ruin a pair of beautiful (and maybe valuable) jeans. Cut up a pair of boring H&M jeans from yesteryear’s collection instead.
@R.Oates7902 Жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing. Vintage Levi's are very expensive in the U.S. and if a person cuts wrong #OMG you can't fix it!

Why would you ruin a beautiful pair of vintage Levi’s like that? This was so hard to watch.
