Kate’s teammates are not “babying” her, they are treating her with respect and acceptance. Caitlin’s teammate’s inability to do the same is not on Kate. The Aces clearly have better leadership and management.

While I don’t like her veiled insults against Caitlin, I also don’t think Caitlin was really the leader on the team. Kate was. Overhyped? what does that mean? People attended her games in huge numbers. She broke scoring records in college. She has brought a ton of attention to the WNBA, which has been a pretty lousy league in terms of revenue, profitability and fanfare.
