I just binged all of your Kenshi Yonezu reaction videos and I absolutely love them 😭🙏🏼 Is it possible you could react to Uma to Shika by him? He’s my absolute favorite artist even tho I don’t understand much of what he’s singing without subtitles 😅

As Ado`s big fan I must carry this faith to the masses. Most of her song, independently is it a cover or is it her own song sounds like banger. Lyrics also full of meaning I recomend to listen next if not listened yet: 1. "Unravel" - cover on TK`s song. Imho, cover better than original. And also live performance of this cover from her better than studio version 2. "Ussewa" - her debut song, when she was 17 (1 day before 18) 3. "Shoka" - song written by Ado. It is song made me scare twice, firstly when I listen an see AMV, secondly when I check lyrics... I think it is saddes song from her 4. "Rule" - maybe the most agressive song from her 5. Entire album with song for anime One Peace film Red 6. "Rebelion" - AMV looks like entire anime 7. "Crime & Punishment" - cover on Shina Ringo`s song, that concentrate attantion on her vocal (your ears must be ready) 8. "Show" - demonstrate abilities to mix the different culures and different genres into one song, like entire album 9. "Odo" - she tries on the role of DJ 10. "God-ish" - while listening firstly I thought that there ~10 vocalist 11. "I`m controversy" - playing around interesting sound effects 12 "Value" - collaboration with Apple (AMV on iPad), sounds pretty cool 13. "Kick back" - "cover" on Chainsaw-man op with surprise 14. "Aishite" - cover on Kikuo`s (Vocaloid) song. It is like "emotional roller coaster" 15. "Villain Utattemita" - a cover of a song with lyrics in English and Korean. I advice to watch AMVs firstly instead live version or advances subs version, because it contains a part of meaning There are no all Ado`s songs present on the official channel. "The Complete Ado list" (on KZbin) contains now 206 (covers, collabs, etc) kzbin.info/aero/PL-sgowJ2PZIdMPtUu03nTjNyqK9_WawlA If calculate from her debut, it is looks like she releases new song each week. It is break my mind. Your job is not finished yet)))

This time, GODIVA approached Kenshi Yonezu to collaborate in the image of "Donut Hole", and he found it interesting, so he agreed to this collaboration And while drawing a new image, he was inspired and thought about "what will these characters look like in ten years?" As a starting point to created this music video (interestingly, both the older MV for VOCALOID and his own music MV were personally directed and produced by him) he also completed his "I want to create a song in the style of juvenile comics" and realized it. "Hachi"(ハチ) is a reference to the protagonist's name in his old sister favorite manga "NANA"(pronounced as "seven" in Japanese), and he calls himself Hachi (pronounced as "eight" in Japanese)

Thanks for this! It's interesting that you're focusing on the audio side of things, while I’m completely drawn to watching and trying to make sense of the anime. It’s amazing that they can complete a full episode of anime in just 3 or 4 minutes of a song, with the animation perfectly syncing to the music. The theme of the anime-people versus developers-is a classic one. A very cool, high-quality production involving Studio IG, if I remember correctly. I saw the Godiva chocolate packages, and my thoughts were: 1. It’s too good to eat, and 2. It’s really expensive, like $4 a piece. But I also wonder how much it cost to make the animated video, so I imagine he has to earn to pay for the workers behind the animation somehow. Personally, I’m so anti-big corporations that are destroying our planet and biosphere, so I feel ambivalent about Kenshi’s collaborations with major companies like Godiva. I'd rather see him tie up with a small local chocolatier business. I don’t know much about Godiva (I suspect them), but I definitely question his tie-ins with Coca-Cola for "Lady" and "Every Day." Coca-Cola is the top polluter, a criminal corporation if you ask me, and considering Kenshi is someone who sings about Nausicaä (like in “Hien”), with its strong environmental themes, it feels contradictory for him to work with companies like Coca-Cola. I’m sure he’s aware of the contradiction, as hinted in the lyrics of “Every Day.” I'm ranting here because honestly, I feel uncomfortable ranting about this on his channel because of his other fans. (I did it anyway though - I want him to like me if he ever recognizes me among thousands of his fans and I do exactly the opposite by criticizing him hahaha 😂). At the same time, I understand that without his popularity-supported by these big corporations-I wouldn’t have discovered his music. So, I’m feeling pretty torn about it. Sorry this was a deep dive. --- For some reason, I can't leave a comment back to the response below by this person @ts012423333. I tried many times. I put some work in writing this and it's a shame that my time and energy gets wasted, and I want to set my record straight, so I'm editing this comment and posting below. *** Kenshi may not explicitly express opinions on environmental issues, but someone as intelligent as him, who has deeply analyzed Miyazaki’s works and considers Miyazaki Hayao a father or teacher figure, would never ignore the environmental themes present in Nausicaä. Nausicaä reflects Japan’s rapid post-WWII development, including the environmental pollution and destruction that came with it. Even in “Hien,” the references to 修羅の道 (the path of a shura) and 道の正しさ (correctness of the way) seem to echo Kushana’s struggle in Nausicaä to lead with the true king’s principles (王道). There’s no mention of sailing or bridges-are we even talking about the same song? The animation of this music video is also about development and those who oppose it. If you read Japanese, you’d see in the lyrics of “Everyday” that he expresses frustration at being criticized as meaningless or wasteful, even though he’s already aware of these issues and understands they are often probably beyond his control. The line “意味がない、くだらない、それはもうダサい、無駄で仕方がない、グダグダグダ、わかってんだクソボケナス” shows that he’s not oblivious to the criticism but feels powerless to address everything expected of him. Kenshi deals consistently with themes of brokenness and salvaging the discarded (ガラクタ), which is psychological, material, social and environmental all at the same time, showing he cares about social issues without being overtly preachy. In one interview, I remember him saying that the purpose of art is to protect the socially vulnerable (社会的弱者を守るため). His music video for “さよーならまたいつか” (not sure of the exact English title) was filmed in Okinawa, an area embroiled in US military base issues, including environmental and criminal concerns. Miyazaki has spoken out about the US base construction in Henoko, and I’m sure Kenshi is aware of it. There’s even a thoughtful comment in Japanese on this issue in the MV’s comments section, if you take the time to read through. You commented on “Lady,” where did that even come from? I never mentioned that song. However, as for the sense of "fatique," I object. I remember Kenshi saying in an interview that the song was about the feeling of 10 AM-a time between early morning crispness and the midday rush, a subtle, dull, slow moment that can’t be captured the same way as morning or noon. That's far from the sense of literal "fatigue" that English word may connote.

You may have some misunderstandings about Kenshi Yonezu😅 He himself does not pay special attention to or express opinions on environmental issues What Kenshi Yonezu wanted to express in "Hien" is that in Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, he saw more of the attitude of sailing with the wind and naturally straightening up when the boat reaches the bridge. "LADY" emphasizes the feeling of fatigue And "Every Day" was born to express the current situation of struggling every day to create different new songs after completing "LADY"😂

the mv isnt an anime, just an animated music video! donut hole is one of his older songs (afaik released in 2013), so this is technically a rerelease of sorts, while also being a collab with godiva chocolates. the old version of this song has a more simple mv. the characters featured are based on the vocaloids gumi, rin, luka, and miku
The superior complex is taught and ingrained into the mind of the Chinese. Especially when it's against the Japanese. There are too many who have no respect for people, animals, and other cultures.

Rie is amazing. What you've just heard might be her best song. But there is hardly anything that she sings that doesn't bring tears to my eyes. (And I don't ever understand Japanese.) Another great song, the first I ever heard her sing is kzbin.info/www/bejne/aXXVh5ZmbLCXr7M. Part of her charm, unlike the other singers in the competition, is that she is so casual. She is in front of an audience of thousands, but she sings as if she is just telling a story to a group of only 5 or 6 friends. What's sad is that she is 50 years old, has been singing all her life, but only now has she been recognized. This show brought a lot of great singers from Japan to Korean. A couple others that I like, keeping to ballads, are Aiko Sumida (住田愛子) kzbin.info/www/bejne/i4PNnYWqfLh_la8 (Aiko is only 16 years old) and Aki Azuma (東亜樹). Aki sings a theme from a Studio Ghibli film. kzbin.info/www/bejne/j5qpfamaqbR8has
