This game is amazing. I've never played anything like this before. Even after hours of turning off my console, I keep thinking about this rocky world and how fun it is to traverse within it, plus I love mountain views so for me it's 9.5/10! I like it a lot. If it wasn't for the long cut-scenes it would've been 10/10 for me!

This game is incredible... I'm on my first play as it's just come to Xbox... I was so confused at first, got frustrated quick... but stuck with it... The game builds out very quickly... before you know what's happening Sam is very capable. The story is deep and very intriguing, Kojima is a genius... this and MSG will go down in history as the greatest gaming franchises...

Overanalysing a fairly simple game

The iraq invasion was planned before the 91 gulf war. The 91 war was mostly to just stage equipment we later used in the invasion. I was MLRS during the invasion. I was in Kuwait for almost a year before, and we even knew then why we were there. We never brought equipment from the states... a lot of the tanks and artillery used for the invasion was just sitting there waiting for us. That's why if you look back a lot of us were sent there on commercial flights

This game & Snatcher are such underrated games. But it really sucks that Policenauts did not get an official Western release. I would’ve loved to hear the game in English. I’m glad they did a fan translation, but I felt it could be better if I hear the game in English. Hell I would’ve absolutely loved it if they were to remake Policenauts & Snatcher today. I would’ve loved to see that. Maybe not today & maybe not tomorrow but maybe someday I would love to see a remake of these two underrated titles. More so Policenauts. And possibly make it a Western release this time. But with Kojima no longer a part of Konami I believe that it’s impossible for a remake. And I remember reading that Kojima wanted to also remake the original Metal Gear & Metal Gear 2. I would love to also see that considering how well known the franchise is. Oh well it is what it is.

You know. Now that I think about it. When character acknowledge a snake as fighting like a demon. That might be them referring to the fact that they’re being controlled by the player 😮

I think everything up to the chopper crash happened. However I think the TPP all happened in a ketamine-induced hypnogogic dream, where he was fed with suggestions which produced vivid dreams. The goal of Zero was to make a new mental copy of snake, which is why the events of the TPP mirrors significant events in Big Bosses life; the broken arm, being left for dead, creation of a a private military, and many more. The tapes are people around his hospital bed speaking.

Man, Shining Lights Even In Death gets me in the feels every single time. The DD Soldiers saluting to you as you blast them brings tears to my eyes, as well as the one that doesnt quite make it after all.

Still the best stealth game ever released, 9 years later.

I’ve owned this game for YEARS. I just turned 28 and my dad gave me his ps3 I use to play as a teen, for my birthday. And I totally forgot this was even on the console. This actually made me go on my ps5 and purchase every single metal gear in the series. I just beat 2 & 3 the other day. I’m playing the first one at the moment just so I can finally get to this game. And then I’ll complete phantom pain.

In remake leon just feels sluggish, like changing guns takes animation in which you can get interrupted. The taking out knife is slow. Leon moves alot slower then original. The change to enemies stun is infuriating. In original if I shoot an enemy in head it'd allow me to kick them everytime to balance this they made it so the parasite would pop up if I blow someones head off.

Honestly I really disliked all the new voices

when i played the game i didnt find her anoying, there is few instances where i kinda find her overly dramatic, but after all she is just a woman that worried about her partner... also a lot of conversations between them often reveal something about raiden so i kinda see these as a opportunity learn about main character more
