Sire404 This match occurred on a Thursday at like 11:00am. Most people are not going to take off of work for these matches. It's unfortunate really, because some of the best matches occur on Thursday and Friday of the tournament and many of these go completely unseen.

Jeremy Oms I understand but I'm still surprised about the extremely low turnout. I would sneak out of work AND pay good money to see matches like these.

+Sire404 well, many people value their jobs and cannot afford to sneak out of them here. Me however, I would have taken vacation time had I been up to date on the FIVB events this summer. I was a dumbass for not looking at the schedules.

How the fuck did you get this video? This is from the qualifier, no? I want to watch so bad but can't find a feed anywhere. NBC for the finals, but that's days away... Help?

InLakechAlaKin23 I am guessing there was a contractual issue, or something failed in broadcasting negotiations, as it often does with the FIVB and AVP beach volleyball broadcasts. FIVB provided video of the qualifying stage and then their feed was shut off for the rest of the week. I believe NBC has the rights to the english coverage of the FIVB and AVP, but they do not provide any way to view it except for a few finals throughout the year. They really are doing a poor job of covering the sport which has so much going on through the entire tournament stages. Not to mention they barely allow any visibility of the tournaments played over seas. I'm glad there is at least some amount of coverage they give the sport, but for serious fans, we miss out on so much by not being able to view early stages of the tournament. Hope they do better on the next U.S. based FIVB tournament this season!

Looks like an abdominal injury. Kudos to Phil for fighting through the pain and kudos to Sean for stepping up and helping him out. Team work!!

Yup, looks like Phil had an abdominal injury and will be out for the upcoming FIVB tournaments... see fivb.org/viewPressRelease.asp?No=52561&Language=en#.VW4PK2RVhHw It will be interesting to see who Rosie teams up with. Probably Slick, stealing Rogers partner yet again.

It appears that at 6:20 Phil extends out and pulls his abdominal muscle again. Doesn't appear to be a leg or hip thing. He's very gingerly moving after that time out and injury point.

Regarding Phil Dalhausser's injury: At 5:05 it looked like Phil did a little something to himself. And then at 6:11, he seemed to fall awkwardly adding to the incident. He stayed on the ground for a few seconds and then takes a time out. He didn't really jump after that play and didn't do any more jump serves. I haven't seen any report of an actual injury though, maybe just tweaked something that hindered his jumping for the game.
