Nice tutorial, could you please mix your watercolor on camera? That is what I need to see as well.

Very cute. I appreciate that you are showing that it can be done in a short time but the clock was distracting.

Hello,I love your work and I've just subscribed, can you tell me why you don't keep your colours separate..thankyou
@alexandravictoriastudio
@alexandravictoriastudio 15 күн бұрын
Thank you! I find between watercolour artists there's a pretty even split on keeping colours separate vs not! Because I'm the only one using my palette, I know where all the colours are that I've previously mixed and actually find it helpful for colour mixing. I have a few clean trays that I use specifically for when I want to keep my colours separate 😊

Evergreens are so hard to paint -- for me, at least. Given the number channel subscribers, I'm amazed that this tutorial hasn't gotten a lot more views and likes. Maybe because it was one of your earlier videos? I really like the advanced tree and want to try those techniques.

3 things to consider when choosing paint: 1. Do you want to do any colour mixing? If yes, start with a basic colour set. You can make any colour using the primary colours! 2. Do you prefer tube paint or pan paint? 3. What are you using the painting for? If you want something to keep its colour long term, you want to make sure you choose something with higher quality pigment! (There are affordable options out there) I go much more in depth in my e-course From Palette to Paper (pre-order available now, launching December 1st). But in the meantime, ask me any watercolour questions you have!

This is Lovely, Alexandra! What do you mean by series 2&3 paints?
@alexandravictoriastudio
@alexandravictoriastudio 25 күн бұрын
Thank you! Winsor and Newton have paints that range from series 1 to 3. The numbers typically are related to the quality and pigmentation of the paint. The simple explanation is the higher the number, the higher the quality! That being said, I often use a mixture and don't notice too much of a difference 😊

Does your paper ever peel with the tape? I’ve tried multiple different brands but the paper usually peels
@alexandravictoriastudio
@alexandravictoriastudio 2 ай бұрын
This is something I've definitely struggled with as well! I think it sometimes depends on the tape, and sometimes on the paper, to be completely honest. The latest tape I've been trying is Frog Tape with making sure I peel very slowly and at an even tension. Let me know if you'd like a more in-depth tutorial where I try different tapes and papers!
