I'm a proud Englishman but I always turn up the volume for the National Anthem of Wales (unofficial, of course 😉). It's the best by miles.

I was privileged to meet Mark Taylor a handful of times as we were at Southampton University at the same time, and looking for accountancy jobs in the final year attended a number of the same presentations. There was a "moment in history" type conversation when he asked which he'd choose between the Rugby and the accountancy, and he replied "I'd be a fool to give up a profession for an amateur sport. Thankfully it was barely 2-3 years till Union went professional, making the choice a very different one. Always a gentleman and one who didn't speak ill of people. A deserving captain of Wales. Good to find he's also immortalised in this version of Max's modern epic.

I went to Cardiff Arms Park to watch the Welsh play the Kiwis. I remember the Hakka & then the crowd singing The Welsh National Anthem. It was brilliant. ❤❤

My grandmother was welsh. We traveled to Wales to say goodbye to family before immigrating to Australia. Love the Welsh national anthem.
