J’adore ❤ vizlas are 😊😊

Id never hard of them until I adopted one that was described as a chocolate lab by the shelter. Wrong head shape, though. Too triangular for a lab. Never barks. Very well behaved. Beautiful dog.

Just curious as to why you gave Archie a bath? We had a Vizsla for 12 1/2 years and even being used as a hunting dog, only gave her an official bath about 2 times. I often put her in the shower only to wash off her feet but water worked just fine. I`ve read that animals have a “coating” on their fur that helps, especially a vizsla with such short hair, to where you only need to use water or wait until something drys and then brush it off .....I would be careful with shampooing and blowdrying all the time. Just my opinion

The one pup with the scab on top of her head can be a sign of in-grown hair. I'm not sure if that's the case for short-haired Viszla. But when my golden retriever pup was 8 weeks old she had exact same scab on the same spot on top of her head and was born like that. My vet told me not to worry however, later when my dog became adult the spot got too big and covered almost all of the top of her head which looked like a bunch of lumps. And they examined her and said it was in-grown hair. And we had to do a big surgery for her. She's fine now. But it's best for to have your pup examined before anything serious.
