He is a little toughy boy , with a raspy voice...cute.His mannerisms were so much different in the cars days, and voice was softer ( submission to Ric ? ) ...makes ya wonder why , did he stop caring about life?

What a man.. his passion, spirit, humility and talent and giving heart. Giving his fans what they want to hear 3 months before a deadly cancer took his life.

How often do you see a tutorial for a lead guitar part from a hit song, being taught by the musician who created the part? Evidently took place when Covid was still somewhat more problematic. His sign off and choice of the Stones song that he strummed a bit of sheds light on his good hearted nature, and generosity.

Great band!! One of a kind for sure. Thank you, Elliot, Ben was such a rock star in looks, talent and was a very giving person. He had it all, until pancreatic cancer took his life. We miss him terribly.

The 80s when rock was live, chicks had real tits and California wasn't a Communist controlled literal brush fire.

I love Paulina. I think it's romantic that she met Oatcakes. However what I absolutely disapprove that she got involved with a married man. I could be wrong but the will thing could be what they call karma

I love how the band is like, “Hey, we know how good we are. Too bad you guys in the audience don’t know a good thing when you hear it.”

"Good noise with good lyrics." That was quite an understatement, Ric. RIP Ric Ocasek and Benjamin Orr.

If you only ended up studying Easton guitar solos, you'd end up being a pretty darn good soloist... And a lot of his best work was recorded before he was even 25!.. top four LATE '70s guys

La bella y la bestia. En retrospectiva Paulina se arrepentira de casarse con ese tipo que al morir la dejo fuera del testamento, teniendo que pedir ayuda a los amigos para poder comer.

Was at this show to see Cheap Trick. Didn’t know the Cars. Their album had only been released 3months before. I bought their album the next day. I’ll bet a lot of other people at this show did too.

The Cars got me through high school and college back in the 80s. Thank you Ric. 40 years later and they’re still my favorite band.

What a treat that audience had!! The Cars were always a POWERFUL band. They deserved the induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame MANY YEARS BEFORE Benjamin Orr passed away!!

There was also an Agora Ballroom in West Hartford, CT. So many big names played there too. Amazing about this recording is that you can actually hear the bass. Ben seemed to be always turned down on the studio recordings.

Benjamin is gold, but that interviewer asking 'who is she?' like a cop and the sexist kitchen remark. Then he sounds sarky with Ben - you don't know? Well, Ben was a lot more patient with him than I'd have been! Letting Ric carry the football???!!! Is this dude for real?

This is one of the bands I regret not seeing back in the day. Elliot Easton was fantastic and the song tempos really move along. I was a high school senior at this time and could have seen them in Hartford. Damn..
