IVUS use was appropriate but dissection is quite obvious on angiography when the retained piece of micro catheter was being removed. This was likely caused by the guide catheter. Overall good case and great results! Thanks for sharing.

It was so disturbing the sound and ringing I was having on my both ears... I had to complain to Dr Madida on from Madida herbal center and he gave me a herbal supplement which I used for specified time by Dr Madida and before I could even finish the treatment the disturbance on my ears stopped and it is 4 months after the treatment and the ringing in my ears never comes up again///

So in 10% of patients, the stent actually through scar tissue results in worse blood flow than before? Also, I assume since they are coronary stents, they lie directly on the heart, ie are exposed to mechanical stresses, which in turn probably impinges on the artery itself? I’m sure these issues have been addressed over the years to some degree. Otoh trials seem to show there is no advantage of stents vs drugs only (COURAGE), so why is it pushed by surgeons?

I recently had a (Gore) PFO closure (3 weeks ago) and my loop recorder just confirmed what I have been feeling which is a heart flutter (apparently for 5 hours). I am hoping I will be in the 59% that resolves quickly. This presentation was very helpful so I thank you.

He was my Cardiologist for years until he moved from Chicago to Qatar. He was absolutely wonderful! I enjoyed being under his care because he genuinely loved and cared for the well being of his patients. I truly do miss him. Dr. Hijazi, continue making a difference in the lives of those you have a pleasure of healing. I will forever be grateful for your expertise. When everyone else told me my VSD was unrepairable you proved them wrong! I thank God for allowing me to be under your care for so many years! You will always have a place in my heart ( literally lol)Thank you!

Great discussion. But I think we’re missing the most important part. Graduating excellent fellows. If you want to focus on trainees, SCAI should advocate for setting better program requirements. Minimum 400 or 500 PCI, >50% radial, imaging requirements, atherectomy requirements, MCS requirements. Focus on that before other problems. Graduating excellent fellows should be #1. Doing 250 PCI is a very low bar.

Whom does he remind you of ? "MAN, YOU CAN NOT BE SERIOUS !' as he flailed his tennis bat. lol John Mc Enroe ? I hope doc when you are inserting my stent/s and some complication arises - you don't scream, 'Mennnn, you ken nat be seriiuss !' lol ONLY KIDDING. I do believe I need one of those. Seriously. Being investigated. But at present in UK - the NHS whom I worked for in past - has gone to hell in a handbasket. I've resigned myself to karking it - hopefully quickly. I don't want left with a CVA (Stroke).

If over the last 20 years ,cardiology educational programs would have done their job teaching residents and fellows, instead of profiting from them then the correct risk stratify of Non,Atypical and cardiac chest pain would still have it's robustness that was the bedrock for interventional cardiology et al. But academics were more interested in what they could make and not what they could teach. This leaves us today with a generation of internist, cardiologist and students who have never heard of bases theorem and can't accurately take an history or physical.
