Every city has a Blues Brothers bar somewhere. In the movie they totalled more cars in one scene than any other stunt filmed.

For what it's worth, the Australian, New Zealand, Canadian and British rich kids in WWI were at least as likely to volunteer, fight, and die as anyone else. It wasn't like Vietnam.

The band are legendary sessions players from Memphis. The guitarist is Steve Cropper who is a great guitarist. The Blues Brothers movie is a great comedy with people like Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Ray Charles, and more. I strongly recommend viewing. The scene from the country/western bar is classic

Who did not understand some of the scenes in the episodes, namely about the Raccoon Rocket and eating rice, I explain - the expression "you're not" sounds like "raccoon" in Russian. About eating rice - the expression "rise" sounds like "rice" in Russian. I hope I explained it, if anything, ask questions, I will try to answer

The Blues Brothers was Belushi and Ackroyd's homage to the great soul music of the '60s. This tune was a huge 1967 hit for Sam (Moore) and Dave (Prater) on the Memphis-based Stax Records label. Many of the musicians here were on the original soul hits, including guitarist Steve Cropper and bassist Donald "Duck" Dunn. You guys owe it to yourselves to dig deeper into the Stax catalogue. Timeless, classic soul at its very best!

Congratulations, you have been Dimashified !!! SOS is part of the French/Canadian musical/rock opera Starmania. The hero finds his girlfriend dead and sings this song over her dead body. The last words are a goodbye cry: 'Sleep now baby, sleep...'. What you witnessed is just the tip of the iceberg! You will see that Dimash IS the best singer/performer in this universe !!! Every one of his songs is unique and will leave you speachless... You have to also react to Stranger, Opera 2, Daybreak (Bastau version), Adagio (Singer version), Sinful Passion, Vocalize (and then Know), El Amor en ti, Ikanaide, Ogni Pietra, Ave Maria, Across Endless Dimensions, Love is Like a Dream, When i've Got You and of course The Diva Dance (Bastau version). If you want to listen to someone that sings beyond the piano notes, try Unforgettable Day (Gakku version). If you like mainstream, try Fly Away, Be With Me and Screaming... And finaly, if you want to be filled with emotions and to have a lifetime's experience, try his last song/mini movie "The Story of One Sky", but be prepared... Welcome to the rabbithole...

The original SNL cast, pre-1980 was the best. It was always funny and the best guest stars and musical groups. This is how the concept of the Blue Brothers started out. They were only supposed to perform a couple of times on the show, but it was such a hit, they went on to do some albums and the "Blues Brothers" movie, which if you haven't seen, you really must. There was a second movie "Blues Brothers 200", which was lousy, but great soundtrack.

IIRC, Beluchi and Aykroyd had the #1 album (Briefcase Full of Blues), were in the #1 movie (The Blues Brothers), and were in the #1 TV show (SNL) all at the same time.

And the No 1 video was 1941! No one has ever done that before or after! Rip John Belushi! I hope you have seen the movie. «We have a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it is a 106 miles to Chicago, its dark and we are wearing sunglasses. Hit it!» lol!

John got very into the blues and came up with the idea of the blues bros. And they did it as a warmup act for the show. Then they decided to make a movie . They so had a hit album Briefcase full of blues...it really helped that they got great musicians......
