Ever had any problems with it shutting off due to overheating?
@Garyjorges796 күн бұрын
Nope.. Never had any issues. It could be an electric issue. Sometimes, ignition modules do that on cars. They heat up and shut down and let them sit, and they restart. There is no way to test for that. Just learn from years of wrenching on cars and small engines. Thanks for watching

After one day of trying to update this scanner’s software, I gave up and took a hit on the BS restocking fee at HF. Do not buy this crap. Packaging states it’s Pc and apple compatible, but it’s not. Apple cannot upload the PC software to there operating system, and the same software would not function properly on a new PC as well. Customer support is non existent as the packaging website forwards to HF product page 🤡 Avoid this product and get something else. HF can go pound sand at this point, as most of their “cheap” stuff is no longer cheap and/or worth getting anymore. Would rather go to Menards or Walmart for some cheap tools and roll the dice there. You were warned 😠
@Garyjorges799 күн бұрын
I understand frustration these days with Cheap crap. That's why I buy a warranty with everything from Harbor Frieght. I just return everything and get new. I haven't had to update this scanner since I've bought a year ago. works. Good still for me. Thanks for watching

@Garyjorges7917 күн бұрын
I guess I don't understand what your trying to say? I just do what I do so folks know what to expect when they watch how the Invetor works. Some folks don't know what to look for when hooking up to a Battery. I bought a 100 AH Lithium Ion Battery for it now. The battery I used was an Old Marine Battery just to use for testing purposes only.. Thats all. Thanks For watching.

I like the factory muffler sound better. It may have a little more back pressure, but it sounds better than the glass pack. I just worked on my '72 and now it's only got the rear muffler. Made a couple of videos on the work and what it sounds like with zero muffler (header pipe only) and with my new setup which is similar to your second setup, but my muffler is rather old and I have twin SU HIF44 carbs so that may influence the exhaust tone and maybe the slight engine differences too. I still hv the A.I.R. pump too. Cheers. Cool video!

I was hoping that you would torture test them to see if your tools were any better then the lot I got, I have broke 3 sockets and stripped the ratchet all in the 1st week of owning them, the case is the only good thing about them. In my opinion they are not worth the effort to return, I gave them to my neighbors kid.
@Garyjorges79Ай бұрын
I have other Icon Tools and haven't broke any. I use the 3/8" breaker bar ratchet every day almost and it been strong. Especially up here in Minnesota we got Rust. I think they were alot stronger than the old Craftmen tools sold at Sears. I do own snapon also in my tool Box. You better step up to another brand if you dont want to use there warranty program. @@bryanteuler3856socket rails and a tool box takes up a fraction of the space. You can pile long sockets on the bottom,..... and deep on top of that.

You should sign up for their emails. They sent an email about the 1 item 25% coupon. They removed exclusions, and they let you use it once each day. I went 3 days in a row to get the things I've had on a list. Also, don't just check the coupon section on their site. Last week, no icon coupons were listed on the app/site. I was looking for reviews and saw a lower price listed on Google shopping. Icon had a 10% coupon if you clicked from Google shopping, which you would never know from HF site.
