I managed to establish a connection between the client and AD server via LDAP using django, all users display to the client, what I'm working towards now is having the web app then compare the password inserted by the user during login to the account password stored on AD, is there a way to make this more secure ? I want to avoid storing passwords on the django database which can be accessed from the django-admin interface and only use the password inserted by the user once to compare it to their AD account password. e.g. - user accesses web app and is met with the login page. - user inserts username & password - web app takes those credentials and tries to find a matching account with the same credentials on AD (I already set up an account with read-only permissions to always perform LDAP queries) so far I'm slowly walking towards the solution but I'm worried about security, I'm thinking of using LDAPS over SSL instead but I'm probably gonna break a thing or two
