Thnx its digitally controlled reel (dc) its range is .8 grams to 10 grams. The rod is a telescoping rod ultra light (tailwalk) using 4# Sunline sniper fluorocarbon. Bait finesse set up

@@juanoutthego I’ve had a lot of luck simple tube jigs or similar in white they glide thru water column look for current seems next to structure or slack water areas ( ambush points ) where fish might be waiting for an easy meal

They did the same thing on the desplains river a few years ago and it absolutely devastated the ecosystem of the river water is only inches deep years later

I was down there today, and by next year all of those exposed banks will be covered in grasses and green. The river is also extremely low right now for any conditions, I also went up by the algonquin dam and that is about as low as you will ever see. Perfect conditions to remove the dam though.

Dam removed at Lyons few years back. River is different now. Folks still fish the area.

@@tedthilly1934 what kind of fish are you after. I primarily fish for anything that bites. The gear your using is key rod and reel and lure weights are key to balanced outfit. Lures I prefer plastics in white 2” to 3” and I look at current seams and rip rap ( Rocky areas).

South Elgin dam by the old put put golf couse? Need to tighten up that drag! It just twisting the line when reel! You need to wade in the Fox River working your up stream towards the dam!

@@michaelbyrne8860 I’m only using 4# line and ultra light baitcasting rod. It’s bait finesse equipment. It’s all in rod and reel I’ve landed some decent fish on this type of set up. I agree wading is ideal especially now it’s low. I’ve got them in vehicle I should plan an outing with them.

@@davidcloyd1296 Loongze dbc-1 b51, I ordered from Loongze fishing USA its stock. I was looking for silver one. This reel is amazing it’s up there with my Shimano aldebaran bfs 22. The Dc on reel is amazing and being able to cast down to .8 grams upto 10 grams.

@@onesjourney6323 it’s an awesome small mouth and trout spot. I’ll be back up there in October to do some fly fishing. I’ve caught some monsters and explored a couple miles of water there. It’s not all blocked off the way it was in your video by the cliffs.

I have other reels that have dc but this is first one in a bfs reel that can cast down to .8 grams and upto 10 grams. Loongze fishing usa . They didn’t have the silver one in stock I wanted. Really like the reel as much as the Shimano aldebaran bfs 22. Once reel is dialed in.
