I want to win the giveaway so bad! My husband loves playing instruments and I do too. But he has a long for the lap steel like no other instrument! We can’t afford to get him one but one day I hope to. We are young and it would mean so much. We would tell so many people about your product and generosity!

I started following and listening to you all before Caroline was 11 years of age. This may not seem very long to any of you. When you get old, every year is a gift. I am still in this human, sinful body and mind. Sometimes I feal that I was robbed of my younger years with a good God fearing woman. I know that it is my own fault for not having patience to wait for the woman that thinks and feels as I do

If Gold Tone really wants to sell instruments, they should hire a real, established plectrum banjoist for a spokesman. This guy doesn't even come close.
@GoldToneКүн бұрын
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! At Gold Tone, we aim to feature a variety of musicians to showcase the versatility and appeal of our instruments. We always appreciate feedback and are continually working to ensure our demos and content resonate with the music community. If there's a specific plectrum banjoist you'd love to see, feel free to share their name-we’re always open to collaboration ideas!

@tedtedsen269 Thanks so much for sharing your experience with the OB-300! We totally agree-there’s something special about an instrument that’s crafted to not only sound great but also look amazing. Playing a banjo with fine details like inlays and plating adds a bit of extra inspiration, and it’s fantastic to hear it brings out the best in your playing. Keep picking and enjoying the music!

I'm wondering why it doesn't come with the resonator. Is there a reason for that? I have a GT CC Plectrum banjo that I love playing. It's tuned in Chicago tuning because I've been a guitar player for a long time, and I'm really not trying to play bluegrass type stuff with it. I do more of a blues country type playing with it, with more of a blues feel than country, but I play a few bluegrass licks I've picked up over the years (slower than regular bluegrass licks). Think of the rhythm and groove of slow minor blues, not much string bending, but a lot of slowly played bluegrass and country style licks. Anyway, I'd like to try it with a 6 string banjo, but without spending a lot in the process. I've noticed in the videos I've watched that this mini is a lot like my plectrum banjo in that it just doesn't project or sound the way I think it should without an attached resonator. Hence, my question. Thanks! Sorry for the long explanation.
@GoldTone19 күн бұрын
@jamesrodriquez2863 We do offer a resonator for this banjitar. For cost efficiency we offer it as a separate product but it is very easy to self install! Here is the link! goldtonemusicgroup.com/goldtone/parts/13acreso

Question for you: in these demos, is the banjo strung with the factory-issued strings/gauges?
@GoldTone10 күн бұрын
Yes! All of our instruments are factory-issued strings - This one comes with steel strings. We offer optional nylon strings from Aquila, a company we’re partnered with. Just let us know if you'd like to request them when you order!

I'd be interested in hearing from people used to playing the fretted version of this instrument (or the Kala) about how easily they adjusted to a fretless version of the same. Two other questions: - Lots of people seem to dislike the strings on this instrument, saying they are too sticky. Some people have said they prefer other rubbery strings. If you have experience with these strings, what is you think of the stock strings? - Is it hard to put new stings on this instrument? I have a Kala and find string changing a bit difficult. With the longer scale of the M-Bass I wonder what string changing is like. Thanks to anyone who can comment on any of this.
@GoldTone20 күн бұрын
@haroldbeck4351 1. The stock strings, like all rubber strings, will have a sticky feel at times. Very fine talcum powder or FastFret would eliminate the issue. 2. Rubber strings can be a challenge for sure, we do send instructions and are available Mon-Fri 9-5 to walk you through any help you might need. With a little direction it is a skill worth having.

Been looking at electric banjos for a while, partly for quiet practice while traveling with headphones. Does anyone know how loud they are unplugged? The presence of the head makes me wonder if they are louder than a solid body electric guitar, or a banjo with a bridge mounted mute, for that matter...
@GoldTone15 күн бұрын
Yes, you are correct, since this banjo does have a head to help give it more of a banjo sound it does provide more acoustic volume than a regular solid body guitar. Very similar to a muted banjo as you suggested. If you would like to call in ( 1-800-826-5482) we would be happy to play one for you to hear! Thanks!

Great Tutorial. Would you possibly know what banjo strap would happen to fit on this type of a banjo? I would like one that is like a long belt that threads through the silver parts around the banjo and goes around the entire banjo .
@GoldTone10 күн бұрын
For a CC banjo we would recommend you use a Slinger strap, or just our basic cloth strap. Either of those would work
