Many thanks for you comment / feedback. That's a greater impact on fps that I thought it should be, and after a quick look I've found the cause of the problem. If I can fix it, that loss should be roughly halved, but no guarantees yet. I'll update the mod to V4.2 if / when I can improve it.

I don't have VR myself, but I've read that my mod / Reshade does work with Raceroom, although one person said it may make the game unstable. But fundamentally, yes it works.

Many thanks for your kind words! Glad to hear that my guide is of good use to you, and welcome to the wonderful world of Raceroom (& Reshade). As you're new to the title, I'll just point out that it's graphics in terms of lighting & overall look can be quite inconsistent between different tracks & times of day. Most combinations look ok but some are (understandably) pretty dated compared to modern titles. In my opinion though it's still the best racing title out there once you've also dialled in FFB settings. Have fun! 🤪

Yeah I've wanted to do a tutorial vid & I even have an improved version of V4 on my PC but I had to drop everything a few weeks ago due to a family matter. I now should be able to do these uploads in the next few days 🙂

Hello. First of all this reshade completly change RR how it looks in a good way! Those sunrays look awesome! I just want to ask what settings you use for shadows and car reflection? Those are the most taxing from all. RR is cpu dependant more than gpu but dx9 is weird...

Hi and many thanks for your comments. For most (if not all) of this mods development I ran absolutely max settings on everything @4K. I dialed some settings down a little around V4 release to run higher than 4K for better AA, but I can't say right now what those changes are as I'm away from home. Probably usual stuff like one notch down on shadows, reflections, car lod, motion blur etc - elements that aren't that noticeable when racing but give an extra 15-20% back on my 2080Ti. Haven't noticed any CPU bottlenecks on my i7 11700 (8 core 4.9Ghz). BTW - I have an improved version of V4 (of this mod) on my PC but I was in final test phase when a family matter came up, so that'll get uploaded relatively soon.

@@LargeStyle yeah I saw your v4 of the reshade preset but this v1 has more dramatic look, something that is missing in Raceroom and is present in AC if you use SOL od Pure. Knowing that Raceroom not support HDR natively I don't mind little darker shadows and great sunrays as in tour v1. I have 4070 and running those reshade shouldn't be a problem but the thing is that cpu have to work faster to to keep up with those higher shadows and car reflection settings which become problem with around 20 cars on the grid. However I cannot find your v1? Can you put a link please? thank you and keep up the good work :)

@@darkojovanoski9751 Every mod update contains all previous versions. I too like the look of V1 even though it's technically a little flawed. Ideally I'd like to make a version that has the visual style of V1 and the technical remastering of V4, but that would be incredibly difficult or (likely) impossible to do. I'll revisit it when I can but I may not be able to improve it any further. As for CPU loads again, I understand about the games natural demand, but thankfully Reshade doesn't add any significant amount more onto that! 🙂

RaceRoom still looks very tired with lack of detail inside of the car. (blurred wheel details, judging on this video). And color mod brings it closer to PCars sunny mood, which can be good/bad, matter of taste

Yes Raceroom still has a few areas that are outdated which is obviously not ideal, but realistically speaking I think it now looks good enough now to have fun times with which is the most important factor (to me). As for visual tastes, each to their own but my mod (in V4 form) isn't really stylistic and was made purely to "correct" outdated aspects compared to modern game rendering. If someone doesn't like that then I respect that, but my mod is clearly for people who do.

Would the mod max out a 1050?

1) This mod adds anywhere between 1-10% GPU usage of my RTX 2080Ti, so for a 1050 it will take a bit of a hit like any other GPU. 2) It depends on your settings (resolution, frame rate, graphical quality etc) - the game itself can max out a 1050 if pushed too hard. 3) It's easy to remove the mod if you don't like it (run the Reshade program again and select uninstall) so perhaps just give it a try. 4) V2 of this mod might be ever-so-slightly less taxing on your system if V1 is too much.

That's interesting feedback, thanks for sharing! In all honesty I'm not entirely happy with V2 - it succeeds in technical ways but I feel that there's possibly / probably more room for improvement. I'll make a V3 if I can achieve a better result and when I've had a very much needed short break from the game (rather burned out on it all).

hallo zusammen hatte lange probleme das einzustellen und gta 5 tatsächlich auf 3d zu zocken also wichtig bei nvidia systemsteuerung Stereoskopische 3d-Funktionen einrichten/aktivieren dann bei windows um viele spiele auch 3d zocken zu können die auflösung auf 1280x720 3d einstellen. bei gta ein sonderfall starten im menue dann einstellung grafik vollbildmodus und ebenfalls 1280x720 anschliessend 3d modus einschalten. übernehmen und anschliessend startet er es neu beim neustarten sagte er mir jedes mal OUT OF MEMERY was nie der fall war so nun zum trick sobald er das spiel neustartet sofort etwas anderes auf dem desktop anklicken sodas er gta5 im fenstermodus startet wieder im menue einstellung fenstermodus auf vollbild umschalten dann sollte er 3d automatisch auf on/ein setzen. dann das spiel starten erst im game beim fernseh auf 3d umschalten (das erste 2d zu 3d) dann die brille einschalten und ein wirkliches 3d erlebnis haben wichtig ist nur immer wieder beim neustarten des spiels nach dem start auf dem desktop rumklicken sodass er immer im fenstermodus startet im spielmenue dann wieder auf vollbild umschalten dann spiel starten im game dann erst auf 3d beim fernseher umschalten brille einschalten los gehts viel spass

Installation instructions are on the mod page, but here they are again... Chose which version / release of this mod you'd like to use then inside the chosen version folder chose a further (self explanatory) mod option for head physics and environmental effects (if present). Within your selected option is a folder called "Mod Files" and within that folder is another called "cars" - this folder needs to be copied into your F1 2014 main directory (typically C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\F1 2014 if running 64bit Windows) which should already have a folder called "cars" present - overwrite the files when prompted.

It's useless to test any game on a macbook. All images look flat. Try a PC next time, with at least a GTX 1060 with at least 6gb ddr5 dedicated to video. I'm REAAAALLY sure this game will look like a completely different thing, since this is the settings I use and I've tried thhis game long time ago on mac too.

I don't know - that setting may be hidden within the game files and accessed via Creation Kit, or may be within an .ini file ? Perhaps look at camera mods and see if they can change it.

Actually you made it like arcade. I have worked and working in Mercedes's F1 2017 project. We are working to make the car less vibrating. Nowadays F1's are like 0 vibrating. You made it like 1990's. Well, it's cool for gaming I think. ;)

I initially wasn't going for realism, instead I wanted to emphasise the sense of movement in general for entertainments sake. However, after looking at real life T-cams, drivers heads get knocked around a hell of a lot, so it ain't gonna be a smooth ride! Either way, this video is from the initial launch of my mod, the vibration / movement effects are toned-down in later versions.

Large Style Driver's heads shake/knock because the whole car is affected by touching the grid/sidelines. Anyways, I love what you did because I think its fun to play games like that! Keep it up! Subbed ;)

5.2 is now in use! Made very slight adjustments to Ferrari (now done) - just the other cars to convert, won't take long. 2016 mods can include my cameras if anyone's interested (providing credit is given) once I release it.

I made a complete version of the mod, and was going to upload to Nexus, but the day after the mod was completed and prior to uploading my hard drive died and I lost everything. I kinda gave up after then, despite my 1,600+ hours of commitment to Skyrim. If the base engine had been better, I'd have reattempted things, but it was too out of date / basic, with too many faults to bother with.

I was actually looking for a natural lightning mod and found your stuff after messing a lot with an enb preset, but for perfomance and responsive gameplay issues i fianlly gave up, and for now vivid weather, COT, purity all that stuff doesn't really look fine for me and are probably too overworked and make all the LOD and all the crap from this old engine appears :/ Do you knwo any mods that get close to yours on the nexus ?

+Idriss La I haven't been on Nexus for about a year now, so don't know if there are any new lighting mods around. Last time I was there the most popular visual mod was Natural Lighting and Atmospherics. The problem with Skyrims engine is that not only is it old and simple, but its basic post-processing elements such as the handling of brightness, contrast, and gamma are so bad that they should not be relied upon. A basic and fast ENB such as Seasons of Skyrim would provide a better visual base, but better yet would be a basic ENB that converted Skyrim to filmic tone-mapping (as used in Fallout 4) which is what I was working on before the hdd failure - so the only two released ENBs I know of that used FTM were "Skylight ENB" and "Serenity ENB". If your system can't run ENBs at all, then perhaps try a SweetFX based mod such as "I can't believe its not ENB".

+Hailiang Xu Thanks. 3D Settings are stated in videos description (to go into the settings.xml found at C:\Users\YOU\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V). Don't recall games settings, somewhere near high but not max.

+Hailiang Xu Couldn't say, I don't actually play using nVidia 3D as my equipment isn't setup for it - so this video was the result of a temporary setup. The game is well optimised so you should be ok.

Great mod, really liked it. But there's a little problem I noticed. It happens when the character is in Helgen and is about to get his or her head chopped off. But the collision mod, since the body of the dead Stormcloak soldier is still there, the character suddenly stands on top of it and it goes into an endless walk, not being able to progress. Just wanted to point that out.

+Torag55 Thanks for the comment. The blocking occasion at the start of the game has been mentioned by a small few others before, but I never experienced it during several tests and the majority of people said they also didn't have an issue - so I imagine if anything that it may be a inconsistent bug that occurs just once in a while, so reload from the autosave (from getting off of the cart) and it should (sooner or later) work. I've been unable to update the nexus mod page with a warning as my account with them is no longer active.

biro nader You will need "nVidia 3D TV Play" not nVidia 3D Vision - and requirements are here... www.nvidia.com/object/3dtv-play-system-requirements.html Your GPU isn't on the list but a lot of similar GPUs are so it might still work. You need to buy a license to run 3D TV Play which can be found on nVidias website (link within above website). 3D can also be done using "Tridef 3D" programs (also needs license) but that currently doesn't officially support GTA V.

its a good mod but after i installed i cant absorb any dragon souls any more, bummer. And there are other instances where dead bodies are not supposed to collide in the game so it is good BUT it seriously need an interface to disable, or fix dragon problems. Some ppl say, just install a mod with dead bodies remover, or hit the dragon and press disable on console, but if u think about it, the collision is in part about realism and immersion, if u use both options if is not realist or immersive anymore.

Looks really good. Only thing I can say about this trailer is I wish the Dragonborn had jumped on top of the dragon after absorbing its soul at the end.

Do you need nvidia 3d glasses,or will passive glasses work

tiddy55 No you don't need nVidia 3D glasses. nVidia 3D Vision can use the official glasses but nVidia 3D TV Play (which is essentially the same as 3D Vision but without the IR emitter and official glasses) is designed to just control 3D processing and you use your monitor / TV 3D glasses (active or passive) to see 3D.
