My question is what happen to Donnie I doubt the FBI would just let him run the company just like that, without convictions or conspiracies ?

I'll never really understand how people arrive at "the FBI agent lost." Like, he fulfilled his job and got the conviction/settlement. What's he supposed to do, kill Jordan or it's a "loss?" He completely achieved his objectives and then detached. It's like saying I bet a team in the Super Bowl, but because that team recovered 2 years later and got rings back-to-back that I lost somehow? It's nonsensical. Besides, the blow to Jordan's ego is pretty apparent when he's so desperate to create a movie that wants to frame him as the "winner." Dude got cooked/caught in real life, so he helped make a movie that's all "nuh huh, I won guys!!!" The ego deflation means much more than money to Jordan and it's obvious if you've ever seen the guy. He'd disappear like an oil prince if money was his goal. He wants admiration the agent stole from him.

This movie showed the realization that nobody really cares what happened to Jordan. The agent thought he'd be crowned some hero for busting Jordan which is commendable but no one cares. The agent realizes that in the train ride back home when he was reading the paper. It looks as if he was having some regret for not taking Jordan's "offer."

@TMGR yeah except all his victims? Nobody cares because nobody knows. The ones who knew (victims) definitely care. It's like saying I don't care about someone who helped a rescue animal. It's simply not true, I'm just not aware that the person next to me did something great for a suffering animal. Doing good deeds for recognition isn't honorable, it's selfish. You do them because they're the right thing to do.

@@taylorwolf7958 Oh for sure. I'm not saying that it was a bad thing Jordan got busted. It was great that he did.

@TMGR if someone only does something honorable on the pretense others will notice and congratulate them then they need to sit down and reevaluate life. That's not admirable at all, it's essentially saying doing good deeds only crosses their mind if praise is attached. It's the same selfish desire for admiration Jordan has and speaks volumes about them. Like I said in original post, that admiration is what the agent stole from Jordan. His obvious desire to pick up the remnants is why Jordan remains in the public eye. He could disappear easily with his money. Instead, he desperately wants media to portray how he might've actually "won." I've got some insight into highly financially privileged lives. You'd remain anonymous if that's what you truly desired in life.

If you actually look into the case nobody in the government cared until he started scamming wealthy people. Thats when the FBI got involved. If he would have stuck to scamming post men nothing would have happened to him.

Hello from Italy. Sorry for my poor english and long message. Even if I'm an absolute fan of maestro Morricone (I'm sure that we are all his fans here) I have to admiit that I was quite disoriented at first listening. And I'm sure that also many of you were, perhaps also Tarantino was: we expected something like to "Once upon a time in the West" or similar. Then I watched the movie "Ennio" by Giuseppe Tornatore (strongly advised) in which Morricone declared that his aim, in his last soundtracks, was not the research of a capturing melodies but the creative use of few few notes (three or four) with the main goal of supporting the story by working in development of this basic material. Listening again....well, Maestro, You did it. In a way You only could. Natural artists never repeat their step, they always innovate. Great piece of music!

I might be in the minority here, but I’d like to see a movie starring Patrick Denham. Basically this movie from his perspective.

I think its a misconception to see the agent as pitiful while Jordan is triumphant. The Agent is literally an FBI agent - his work is all classified and largely unknown, but he has integrity and he’s done good work. Belfort is forever a scammer and con man who ratted out everyone who looked up to him to save his own skin. It doesn’t matter what benefits you get from being a rat, you’re still a rat.

My question is…. What did “Donnie” get for being the bigger “rat”? It’s obvious Donnie betrayed Jordan & it kinda sucks because Jordan took care of Donnie to the end. Jordan gave Donnie the napkin with the Warning on the Post-It underneath it telling him he was wired & not to incriminate himself. It’s now obvious that Donnie was also approached by the Feds the same time as Jordan was… and Donnie was told to rat Jordan. That’s how the Feds obviously got the Post It from under the napkin. Donnie was already approached before Jordan & gave it to them. If it weren’t for Jordan… Donnie would’ve been nothing. If you all recall… Donnie approached Jordan in the Diner and asked him how he could get involved in this. If Jordan told him to “fuck off” and left the Diner… Donnie would’ve been nothing. So to me Donnie was the bigger “rat” and he bit the hand that fed him to save his own ass. The Feds weren’t as interested in Donnie. Jordan knew it. Jordan till the end tried to save Donnie and take the rap himself. But Donnie sold him out. I’m glad Jordan is currently still set as a net worth of over $100 Million. I’ll bet Donnie didn’t do so well for being the bigger rat.

All the people in the comment section talking about how corrupt the world is are leaving out 1 important part and that is that the makers of this movie where people who are more powerful than belfort that hated him and not for moral reasons they are just saying it is for moral reasons to get revenge it's sad and hilarious at the same time
