Vic and Bob have always been more alternative comedy, even in the UK they're loved by some and hated by others. The US has surrealist acts like Tim and Eric who are comparable to these two. I wouldn't say its 'our' sense of humour. It's just a flavour of comedy that doesn't appeal to the masses.
