Was für ein grandioses Konzert! Ihr bin gerade im Krankenhaus und habe Tränen in den Augen. Ein tolles Erlebnis 2 der größten Künstler gemeinsam mit einem tollen Orchester lauschen zu dürfen. Bravo!!!

Herrliche Aufführung. Das Largo ungemein gefühlvoll und jeder Ton auskostend in der hervorragenden Akustik. Virtuos der 1. Und 3. Satz. Zwei überaus große Giganten in der klassischen Musik. Ausgezeichnetes Orchester. Höchste Kunst.

It was sad to see MA have to carry Ozawa onto the stage for the Choral Fantasy. On ths occassion howevee Blomstedt could have carried her. I just hope I have it together, both mentally and physically, at either of their ages.

Absolutely fantastic! Beethoven is the best composer anyway! Mr. Blomstedt directs without a stick. But the orchestra knows anyway what to play. And Mrs. Algerich probably could play the piano even when halfasleep when in bed??? Hope to meet Mr. Blomstedt someday. He lives just a mile from me... Thanks for this wonderful music!

Marvelous to hear the different counterpoint moments being rehearsed without the melody. I don't think it is appreciated enough what's going on in La Valse to make it the masterpiece - and killer piece - that it is.

Ja,mir ging es auch so. Ich habe vier Jahre Klavier studiert,aber eigentlich habe ich von Arrau und Kempff mehr gelernt als vom Lehrer im Studium. Besonders empfehlen kann ich Ihnen das Buch "Leben mit der Musik".Es ist dies ein langes,wunderbares Interview mit Claudio Arrau.

@@nilskroehl Guten Tag! Sehr empfehlen kann ich die Wilhelm Kempff Gesamtedition der Deutschen Grammophon.Dort kommt Kempff auch zu Wort. Auf KZbin fand ich schon vor einigen Jahren Tondokumente(ohne Bild)ein paar seiner Meisterkurse(Beethoven-Sonaten)in Positano. Außerdem ist das Buch"Wilhelm Kempff-Lebensskizzen eines großen Pianisten"von Klaus Linsenmeyer äußerst lesenswert!

Both conductor and pianist look old. But, the music they make is filled with youthful spirit. No hint of an advanced age (whatever it may be.) This is a classic! A collector's item to be cherished and appreciated.
