@@joeyoonvlogs5434 , extra muscles you build have permanent benefits, even after you lose them again it’s easier to rebuild them. This is well documented, both with and without drugs.

After watching what you called a warmup I was guessing average girls HS speed but I was disappointed. Why didn't you have J show you a proper warmup. I would have watched 30 minutes of that just to make sure my protocol was on point.

That's why most high level athletes are terrible coaches. Fast twitch don't use oxygen on the 100 it's purely anaerobic. the arms tips is totally off, proper posture and ranges of motion are far more important and basically dictate your levers (arms and legs). BS 2 : sprint drill may help you improve your general body awarness so with time you may understand how it feels to have a bad posture or a bad limb placement but you can be really good at it and have a terrible technique and be very bad at it and run really well.
@user-ki4xw2rb8q3 жыл бұрын
I agree, but he was talking more about sprinting relaxed, try to run a 100m holding your breath, is not as comfortable..
@joeyoonvlogs54343 жыл бұрын
These were some overall basic tips and for my followers (at my request), who are a mixture of athletes and non-athletes, I didn't want him to get too technical. Overall, having someone of his caliber giving any advice was appreciated 😀

@mssha19803 жыл бұрын
🤔 How you gon tell one of the best and the most consistent sprinter of our time that he’s wrong?
@curlrain3 жыл бұрын
@@mssha1980 That's easy. Usually great athletes are terrible coach. Coaching how to run fast is not the same thing as running fast. I know personally a guy who went to the olympics and run 10 flat and is a terrible coach. It is obvious he never opened a book on human physiology biomechanics etc... A lot of champion have a warrior type mentality so when they train they usually don't care about the why and how. Finally they are uber gifted so they never had the difficulty a ungifted athlete may have and they might not even understand it. If you not convince yet think about a nobel price in physics teaching math to teenager. Usually the results will be awful. At best he will inspire them but they will probably not be able to understand him really well cause he's not a teacher, he's a physicist.
