Horrible advice from copilot. Luck is the most important Stat and cha is useless. You can add pts to speech and barter from intelligence gains each level. Luck affects critical chance, adds points to all skills, and makes enemies drop thier weapons and have other mishaps. Luck is the single most important stat.

Oh well, sound quality is still terrible - series is unwatchable. I need to crank my volume to max to just barely hear in-game voices or sound effects, but then quickly turn down way below half or else my speakers crack at how loud Chrome and boyfriend's voices are. If the only thing I cared about were the visuals, I could watch on mute, but the game's music, effects, and voices are important to the experience. I can't hear anything over screaming youtuber voices.

Worried about your copilot there.. Recommending high PER and CHA and low LCK? That is the opposite of what to do. Luck adds to all skills and improves critical hit chance. Charisma is only needed for one optional perk. Getting a lot of other facts wrong too. No information is better than wrong information

It probably sounds different between live stream and KZbin, but on KZbin, the game audio is too low to hear and the youtuber voices are cracking my speakers even at middle volume. I hope that improves. And please stop screaming.

You can mention to the cowboy robot in Vicky and Vance the missing 9mm gun, he will object at first, but with enough science (i think 50 or something…) you can pass speech check to reprogramm him to convince him the gun is missing, after which he makes request to find the missing gun, which makes it an unmarked quest…

The playing cards are used to assemble a caravan deck. It's a card game you can play with various NPCs. It's a minigame that's affected by which cards you have.

Umm... Perception and Charisma are probably the most useless abilities actually. Because those are the ones that impact actual game mechanics the least. They're both pretty much only used to affect initial skill levels with skills that are governed by them, which you're better off just putting points into directly. CHARISMA isn't useful, SPEECH is useful. So you're better off increasing your intelligence and getting more skill points. Outside of skills the only real impact from either of those is the compass ticks that point out creatures on the compass, the range of which is increased by a high perception skill. And even that can be completely undercut by something that comes really early on. That said they are sometimes needed as perk prerequisites, but I find most of those perks to have limited utility compared to the trade-offs. The most important thing about luck on the other hand, isn't gambling, it's the frequency of critical hits, which potentially comes up every single time you get into combat. (Reducing luck also decreases literally all your skills)

Agree on Charsma, but ditto about Perception…There are a couple of perks, that i cannot imagine playing ANY of playthroughs without, that require 6 points put in Perception…Most specifically - Sniper - which greatly boosts headshot chances in VATS and Better Criticals (which makes critical attacks x1.5 more powerful! Which can be really a lot with some high powered weapons!)

But Charisma stat is absolutely useless to me, so much actually that i lower it all the way down to a single point! Sure i miss some minor speech checks with Boomer kids at Nellis this way, but considering there is all there is to it - not that much of a loss really…

I always plan my builds the way every time to make sure i will end up having at least 6 in four of the five combat related special stats (S P A and L) as well as 9 in Endurance (to get all the implants from Usanagi clinic!) all of which relate to combat related enhancing perks! I don’t care usually how low both Charisma and Intelligence stats are, but lowering Charisma alone all the way down is usually enough to get access to all the perks i need for my playthroughs! But i often ending up with free room for Intelligence anyway…

@@Summon256 I usually put Intelligence as one of my highest stats because, I like skill points. The overall late game difference between a low INT character and a high INT character is monumental. Though I agree with the high endurance thing. I'll also usually set it to 9 if I have the points to spare (8 if I initially set something else to 10) As to the Sniper and Better Critical perks, those are good for a sniper build, but I did that build so often early on I don't do it so much anymore.

I start at CHA 5, then +1 from implant for Animal Friend perk. It is the only reason to have above-average charisma, but it is so worth it to me to never have to worry about geckos or coyotes or even nightstalkers.

have played all of the other games in the series but hadn't had time for this one before now.. Thanks for the playthrough! watched this whole thing in one go! lots of tears! Guess the next thing to wait for is the To the Moon Movie.. if it's still a thing? edit: looked into it.. looks like the movie is rip. :(
