Hey man! I think this was a really well made video. It kind of blows my mind that you haven't played portal until now. It's a good one to 100%. I played portal when it originally came out, but I went back and did 100% on it and the RTX version last year as well. Fantastic game and the sequel is also very good. Now I know this video was published 10 months ago, so feel free to yell at me if you've already done this in the future, but just a small critique about the editing. I feel like the mix of music/ gameplay is too loud compared to your voice. I feel like you need to cut the volume down by about half personally, but honestly still a fantastic video and I've definitely subscribed to your channel! Also, again, something you may have already fixed, but I feel like you may have exported it at too low of a bit rate. It gets a little pixelated sometimes, and I don't think that's your recording, but probably the export settings. The video was still great, but I just like offering critiques cuz I'd love to see your channel grow!

Portal's actually very forgiving, taking measures to never get into an unwinnable state. If an energy balls barely touches the catcher, it'll count it. If you throw a cube into the acid goo, it'll dispense another. If you deliberately lock the cubes somewhere you can't get them back from, GlaDOS will make an insulting remark and just open the exit doors for you.

Not gonna lie.. when you said 17... not /seven/, but /seventeen/ years ago, I had to think for a minute there. Has it really been that long?! But you know, I guess that's almost right! Portal 1 did release on October 10th, 2007. It's almost 16.5 years ago. But that's close enough to 17, I'll accept it. I still remember back when it was being offered for free, that I snapped it up, and a lot of other online friends snapped it up too. It was definitely cool, and the new gameplay mechanics that I and many others hadn't seen before, too. But the short length of the main game was disappointing. I figured there might be custom made levels that are more elaborate and/or higher difficulty, and there were.. some of them even very good. But I never knew the Portal community was going to get /as big/ as it did. One of the better custom Portal 1 level sets out there I like is Portal Pro. Damn if that one isn't really devious at times. You'll have to really think, and as a hint, you will need the "portal peeking" technique, which apparently isn't possible in Portal 2. I was a little upset Valve didn't carry that over.
