yeah, it should chase them out. Any paint thinner will do or petrol, diesel. I noted that those tings really work well. In my case I had just a few of those insects and it worked like charm with the method I shared.

Well the plastic part can be replaced but to do that you need to open the whole button of laptop it can be quite a task

you welcome, those printing heads are nasty they are not really build to last forever or even for a bit but cleaning can make them print for slightly longer then the manufacturer has planned. :P

try with warm water best is distillate water. Even hot water can be alright I sometimes have used boiling hot water but do not recommend, however 40 degrees Celsius or even 50 can be alright. Greetings to Japan!

It is a totally unpractical design, whats worse quality isn't good at all, when compared to the normal port. That plastic part can easily break of and even if it does not the cable can be easily pulled out, it is just awful design. Engineers at HP, they must have seen `How to Irritate People` and got inspired by it lol.

Hi Lidia, well I would not recommended tempering with an official meter. But those huge magnets they have affect, even from a bigger distance, with in reason of course. You can check the effective distance yourself. Put some piece of metal on a desk and slowly put a magnet nearer and nearer to that piece of metal, at the point where the piece of metal was pulled by the magnet it is the distance minimal needed to put some drag effect on the meter. Those magnets that are as big as your hand few inches deep, will do it from bigger distance. They cost quite a bit though. But again, this is not recommended to experiments on a official meter, for the obvious reasons. The one I had was mine. I had it for fun, to see if it was really possible to creates a drag on the meters disc with a magnet. And it really did. The disc turned around 30% slower. I had it for days running some day with and some day without to see the difference, always with same electricity consumption.
