I wish this was the actual live audio. Not saying you faked this or anything but this is a music video so they only used the footage of the performance but not the audio.

Best music video ever, in fact my most favorite music video of all time and by far the Scariest Music Video ever made, I've never seen anything more terrifying in my life. 😮😱😨😧

In addition to the amazing percussion, Neil was air drumming all the pieces he would eventually add on that kit.

Superb. Thanks for giving me the idea. Have you heard Simone backwards? Simone is Whee Angels Play, played backward. If you reverse it back, it has the same ethereal quality as this.

Been listening to My Effin' Life and despite listening to Rush since I was a little kid it never occurred to me just how young these guys were when they were putting out bangers over and over again. It's pretty unbelievable hearing Ged talk about these days as if they were just kids in a rock band, then you realize.. they were. Best band ever.

All three were virtuoso on their own instrument, and contributed to the inimitable own sound of Rush. Neil, Ghost Rider, rest in peace, you are dearly missed.

Alex looked bad ass back then. Geddy had a great voice. Idk why people even ripped on him. His pitch was great.

First song I heard by Rush. It's been 47 years since I first heard this song and it continues to be one of my Rush Top 5 songs. It had such an impact on me that I must have listened to it about 30 times before listening to the rest of the album. It was something completely new to me, as until then I only knew Beatles, Elton John, some Pink Floyd and... Bread. Anthem opened my mind to music and made me an instant Rush fanatic. Until today.

Any one have the lyrics? Cant find them anywhere... Its something like. "Shes at her end and its getting later...shes all done and im feeling for her lately ....". ? Im guessing here. But i bought this when it first came out in vinyl.

My 15 yr old nephew is reading “Anthem” in school!!! ( I’m just shocked that his school is still teaching this opposed to gender and sexual awareness but that’s a whole different topic )…. I told him to go look up “Rush” and the song “anthem” That is a song written about the book…. And read the lyrics…. It gave him a whole new perspective on what was just a boring ol English assignment!!! Yet another victory for RUSH!! Helping to enlighten a “Gen Z” kid and maybe keep him from eating tide pods!!
