No, it needs both cartridges so the gas doesn't escape.

I have always hated the looks of all Spyderco knives and I still do! But due to the peer pressure of fellow knife nerds I have purchased a Yojimbo 2, Manix 2, and a PM2. I have to say that spyderco should just sell the blades! They make great blades and they suck at handles in my opinion until you get those aftermarket handles and internal parts for them you're just getting a great blade!

I agree, the flat scales and duck billed pocket clip should be a thing of the past...contoured scales and deep carry clips are the way to go.

I'm carrying my s30v satin blade manic 2 today. Do excellent choice. I've actually got a manix 2 for every day of the week all different steels too lol. One of my all time favorite overall knives.

The base is pretty heavy, I have had no issues with it tipping over with the exception of pulling the rod out too far.

MC sent me too. Spydercos are fun to modify ( always frustrating) ,put burlap micarta on both of my Shamans and moded lots of my PM2s. Sharp by design makes a special tool for the lanyard hole on the PM2. Makes it a lot easier to separate the liners.😅
